Backlinks.Serpstat finds most of my backlinks and categorises them well with their trust and page rank. It's an excellent resource to see backlinks via the dashboard. Traffic estimate is also the most accurate I've seen out of any SEO tool I've used.
Search volumes seem to come straight from AdWords.
SEO and competitor analysis
Serpstat's Site Audit Tool makes it very easy to distinguish the items which needed to be worked on.
They don't officially support my country's database at the moment. And it's a shame certain tools like their Related Keywords module is restricted to higher tier subscribers.
The Site Audit tool really broke down the weaknesses of my client website and this made it easy for me to know what are the fixes I needed to focus. Rather than having to spend time combing the website.
The ease of use and the user interface of the platform. I love how I can audit, track and do competition research of a site all in one place.
interface resets to default items per page. There has also been a few bugs in the platform I have found but support has always been there to iron them out.
i used to use 4 different tools to do the same thing serpstat now does for me in one.
It would've seemed that everything needed had already existed in the market of SEO platforms. But then it turned out that there was no main thing - a good price-quality ratio. And there comes Serpstat. It offers a fairly high level of 5 necessary SEO tools for the very reasonable money.
Too few databases. The lack of German, French and Spanish databases sucks
Keyword research, checking the site for errors
As for me, it's not only the cheapest but the best tool on the market. I want to point out its search questions feature. I use it to create relevant content answering trend questions.
Bugs occur as in every other software.
I use it mostly for content creation and optimization
The rank tracking and audit tool is really nice and easy to use.
Donst show months tracking in a nice grapgh
SEO
interface and google keyword research. Very like an Organic keyword report
Some reports are not correct/full. Especially backlinks analyst and domain analyst. Serbian google reports are totally wrong
with Site audit - onsite problems. Doing this once per month or two. Benefits - searching for keywords per page, competitors and rank tracker
It makes it easy for me to get in and compare my site to my competitor's sites (backlinks, DA, keyword rankings, etc.)
it seems to be really powerful, but I just don't know who to use it all.
Learning the keywords that I need to target for my SEO efforts.
Like the rank tracking and backlink research tools.
Is a total seo suite, but in development. Currently the keyword tools are not really there.
rank tracking and backlink research
Gives as many tools and options as many similar tools that cost far more.
The rank tracker function is a little buggy.
It's a great tool for all around SEO and I use it daily.
But Domain Analytics and Site Audit for us very useful.
Some details of UI. Some more help online.
Improve SEO and improve analytics details
I love the backlinks analysis feature and the keyword tracking feature. I also appreciated the site audit - there were a few mistakes I was making on my website that were easy fixes!
I wish their learning center focused a little more on strategy versus just showing what their product does. I'm pretty new to the world of SEO, so the tool is a little overwhelming, but I think it will be incredibly useful as I explore more of its features.
I fixed some errors on my site using their Site Audit tool and I've been using backlinks analysis to research my competitors SEO link building strategies.
It’s a quick way to use it as a comparison tool to rank your website to others in your industry.
It does not update often. The website numbers are the same for weeks at a time.
We try to compare our company to other financial firms. We try to see our website traffic and how other firms are doing. We try to see if firms with higher seo numbers are doing better and what they have that we don’t.
The number and variety of tools and features.
Confusing interface, it's not very intuitive how the features are grouped, etc. Can be slow at times.
Monitoring SEO performance for my sites and competitor sites. Finding new ideas for keywords to target, etc.
I got this via Appsumo which means I paid once. That alone was a big benefit as I use it for personal/freelnace use occasionally. If I needed fulltime access, I'd go with ahrefs but that costs much more.
Doesn't have the same range of tools as ahrefs/semrush for example. It's a budget version, but that's clear so not necessarily a problem.
Backlink research, evaluating whether to buy expired domains. Competitor research
Serpstat has a pretty accurate position tracking feature. It's exactly what I need to check where my pages are at a glance - going up, down, or stagnating. If you're using it as an at-a-glance tool, it works great.
* Occasionally glitches up. * Google KW search volume is totally out of whack in the AppSumo deal I took [possibly throttled]. * Biggest issue - the company will take away features from lifetime plans as they want. I can no longer update ranking positions after being able to do it for two years. Reached out to be told that this feature was never included in my plan [when it actually was] and that nothing can be done about it unless I forgo my lifetime plan and switch to plan billed month by month.
I'm currently doing KW research for several blog articles that I'm writing for my clients. Other than that, I generally check backlinks with Serpstat - basically, seeing what my competitors are doing in terms of external SEO and trying to top that.
Just like all the rest really. I like the chart
the bandwidth it takes up. I also hate that I bought a lifetime plan and it says I only have a few day left on the account???
none, looking elsewhere
The user-interface is nice, but unfortunately there are some VERY tight limits on things unless you are willing to up your subscription to $69 per month, $149 per month, or $299 per month. For that kind of money there are, I feel, services that are better. That's not to say it isn't good, it is just that around every corner there seems to be a limit.
The need to upgrade to a higher level just to get a reasonable level of reporting.
Basic keyword research can be done quickly and easily. It has helped uncover some holes in our SEO strategy that would have been tough to uncover otherwise.
The featureset is everything I would like in an SEO tool.
None of the features work reliably. No crawling support for single page applications (reports our site as 1 page) Example: Looking at the overview dashboard for my projects, multiple components can be displaying the same data and yet have different values (on the same page). This is equally annoying when some pieces of data have updated and some haven't without any frame of reference as to when each value updated. Example: Regularly I'll be looking at the tracked keywords report and the data will be "loading" for an entire day while they refresh, why not display the old values along with a last updated date until there's new data.
I'm trying to track the SEO performance of our site.
