I like that there can be channels to keep topics organized. Also it's great that you can schedule send, give yourself reminders, edit messages you've already sent when you make an error, and share files and photos from the computer or Google drive or wherever. Also like how you can set your status, and make custom emojis.
Hmmm the downside is that outside the company isn't also on it.
I creates an open line of organized communication across the different company departments, and across our many different locations. Very important for getting work done and collaborating remotely without having to waste time scheduling calls or meet ups.
We have a lot of employees who work remotely. Because of this, it can be challenging to communicate quickly. Slack helps us with all of that. I can send messages and files, hop on video calls (huddles), and even have it remind me of things that need to happen during the week. It's excellent software, and it's only going to get better.
At this point, I can think of no downsides to using slack. The software is well-made, and updates happen regularly. New features are added, and poorly developed ones are removed or fixed.

There are not a lot of things that I do not like about slack. Slack could create a better way to close out direct messages, so there are not a lot of things in your sidebar, but honestly, I am just nit picking issues but slack is a great platform!
It is helping our organization stay connected and on the same page without having various group chats via our personal numbers. It provides a place for our teams to give kudos to others who just stand out in the field.
I like how I have the ability to set reminders, create bookmarks, pin things to the top of channels or conversations and have quick references available at all times. The way you can customize the sections is also very slick.

Internal communications are all done with Slack; we mainly use email for external communications. This helps us to reduce the email backlog and bring people together with their channels and group conversations.
For a quick way to communicate with my coworkers, I drop them a Slack message. Better yet, I can organize different groups or channels, private or public, for them to join where I can communicate based on need or job function.
There's nothing that I can think of that I don't like about Slack.
Instead of sending an email that clogs up my inbox and gets lost in the mix, using Slack allows me to integrate other platforms like ClickUp into my everyday communications. It solves the problem of a coworker interrupting me if I'm busy because I can customize and set my status. It allows them to approach me in person when I'm available or to send me a message because they see that I'm occupied at the moment.
I like most of its features, like real-time instant communication along with the sharing screen. What I like the most is that we have a draw feature that we can use to make someone else understand while discussing over slack. Its' the best application for communication, whether using messages or calls.
Sometimes I feel sync-up difficulty when I connect google calender with slack. Slack doesn't give real-time alerts and does not showcase proper status when I am in a meeting. Ideally, it should showcase my status as "In meeting", but it showcases as "Available". This happens intermittently.
Daily communication with all the colleagues all over the organisation. Instant huddle option available is best part of slack no need to generate meeting id and all.
I like that we can chat with a member, have private channels and also have the ability to video chat. Way better than zoom. And it's all in one place!!!

Slack is an amazing tool, I have used many tools but this is the best among all. You take any feature they excel in it. Recently launched huddle is easy and quick to connect.
Although I like the huddle feature, it got many bugs while connecting or presenting your screen. Sometimes it doesn't work & gets stuck. The app is a little slow in loading the message.
Slack has solved issues while working remotely and finding messages that were sent a long time back. Slack is flexible in connecting via audio, one doesn't need to switch to a new app for that.
I like the personalization options, away/out-of-office settings, and ease of use.
The only downside for me is sometimes things get lost in having so many threads.

Where to even begin? Slack has literally revolutionized how business function, how teams collaborate, how information is shared, and how remote folks interact. I've been using the tool since 2014/2015, both professionally and personally (both my HOA and my husband and I have Slack groups!) The sheer number of integrations make Slack invaluable in business. It increases efficiency and transparency (both critical things in this new era of work).

Communication is improved over Slack. I can seamlessly move from channel to channel and still get things done using integrations. Some favorites: Spotify, Bonusly, Google Drive (this is huge for me), Canva, Google Cal, Notion, and Monday).
Use of Threads. It really helps organize conversations, and follow up on a particular topic even after days. Scheduling a message is another great feature I love. If someone is off hours or on vacation, I can schedule a question or idea to be shared before I forget.
Accidental Huddles getting placed. When you are on the DM of a person, by mistake a Huddle call could happen.

Slack is such an easy tool to use when it comes to communicating with colleagues or external clients. The tool allows you to create channels for external purposes which enables me to update clients faster or respond to their request without needing an email back and forth.
I don't have any particular dislikes about Slack, the only thing I think could potentially behelpful is to have templates which can be used to inform teams of updates in an easier way.
Efficiency within teams and for client support. It's allowing me to reach out to colleagues faster to resolve or support. I would say having access to Slack definitely improves efficiency and time saved when working from home. The integrations also allow for handy notifications so you don't have to open each native platform separately.
