Never ever in almost two years did we have any technical hick-ups – Contentful works ALL THE TIME! And when we reached our API limit, the customer service was very helpful!
If there were one wish I could make: I would love to talk to the great customer service on the phone, I mean the online service is great, but sometimes a word in person is even quicker.
The world is full of bad news – we at Good News work hard to find the best good news of the day and publish them via contentful to our 45k+ readers! Thanks to contentful, people hear about solutions to problems on our website and in our app.
Easy to use and great for a team workspace
I have not come across anything I dislike yet
I am using contentful to use for ecommerce
The functionality of the platform and how easy it is to find things within if you're properly labeling your entries.
I wish there was a way to see a page as you're editing it (a preview).
One major benefit is that it stores all entries so that even if you delete it from where it originally was, it is stored in your history.
I believe Contentful provides a dynamic way of collaborating and creating amongst different needs & stakeholders. It's a friendly reminder that you can get things done and all involved-parts will know about it. From a project management standpoint, it's a time saver:)
At this point, no dislikes. Contentful is heading to a great direction.
We are migrating lots of content and repurposing those directly in Contentful. It's a more robust solution and with a clean vision.
From our content creators to our dev team, Contentful has been an excellent solution for our website. The Contentful CMS is very user-friendly and customizable, and the modular format makes restructuring things easy.
For teams that don't have an in house dev team–or don't plan to continue working with a dev team post site development–Contentful could be a little challenging.
Contentful modular format helps us keep a large amount of information organized and up to date.
I like that I can update and troubleshoot the website in real-time, with previews for my internal team so I can ensure I collect approvals and track what was changed.
While Contentful is the best option, I also wish there was a way that a website map was auto-populated so we could see the big picture in real-time.
Having a place to put our CMS and have the entire team access it and own parts of the website is great. It helps us communicated with each other, demonstrate messaging and technical advancements, and create growth for the company through our combined efforts.
The training that the Contentful team holds
Contentful at first glance can be a bit much, there's a lot going on, but as you get walked through the product it makes more sense.
Using Contentful as a way to measure the efficacy of content with users.
How much information there is, and how flexible the whole product it.
Nothing in particular to mention. The tool is great and does what we need.
We reduced to cost to new features, by using a much simpler approach. We also are able to give production users much more options in how they structure the content.
Great developer support. Tools are always up to date to keep up on new updates from frameworks and libs. The Rich text editor is one of my favourite features from customising the content to referencing other Components. I dont think any other CMS does that. Creating your own plugins is another great way of building a more bespoke feature for your needs in the dashboard. The new Compose tool is well designed when it comes to creating new content.
Content-type cap restriction could be improved. 48 is pretty low for even paid members.
To make life easier for content editors when it comes to managing the content on the go. A way to instantly preview their changes then publish with a click of a button.
The user interface makes finding, publishing, and editing the content you need easy.
The "download" button is right next to the "delete" button on the dropdown menu on images, and I've accidently deleted photos that I can't find again.
It's easier to get more team members onboarded because it's so much easier to conceptualize than our last platform.
Contentful is Amazing when handling and managing content; the API's are well defined and are easy to use, the API's it's what I like the most.
The UI is not so intuitive; it's challenging to search for content; when searching, I have sometimes press `enter` and everything related to the search gets messed up, then I have to delete at least one letter, and I can continue my search. I think this is because Contentful's UI starts searching for every key pressed and not when we press the `enter` key.
We use it at Xoom to deliver all the client-side content, including email and SMS content. We have encountered that it's easy to handle translations using their APIs.
It's very intuitive and easy to start working with it
I don't have something terrible to say about Contentful. It helps my team to deliver dynamic content fast and easily.
We are using Contentful to fill our web application with dynamic content without the need to hardcode every text or image's URL
I think it's a very user-friendly site!!
Haven't found anything that I don't like
It' makes my work easier, it's very easy to manage so I don't have to be questioning where everything is!
The ease of use, the web interface is super easy to use and very friendly.
I have kind of mixed feelings about being able to modify the content without actually hitting the save button.
Localizing all the content on the site, ease of use, and quick connectivity and response times
How easy it is to create new articles and update site content. The indexing to look up for contents makes it painless to find the component to update.
The multimedia content manager could be easier to navigate.
Brand site updating for SEO, article uploading.
The library of the useful modules is great and very user friendly. I would like to see more modules introduced in the future for sure.
The main page layout needs a little more pictorial or naming possibility for each module so we know exactly which one we are using without opening the module.
The usefulness and user-friendly ness and quick turnaround help us build great content which is quick and visible or review in real-time.
The site is really easy to use and self-explanatory - as a new member of my team, I needed minimal training and can quite easily figure things out myself.
We have had a couple of issues with overlapping media - it would be good to flag when two pieces of media clash as multiple media owners are using it.
Setting publications/unpublish is great - initially, we were doing this manually, and media was left live, and we also couldn't have changeover on the weekend - so this has opened up a lot of options.
Contentful as the only content platform that will help us!
it may not yet integrate with our Sveltekit framework :(
We are teachers and nothing is more pleasant than teaching! We DO NOT want to manage Databases and Contentful as the only content platform that will help us! - Structure, improve the delivery and collaborative editing of our Academic content for our teachers, students. - Unify our Documentation Resource, Academic Blog, Knowledge Center, Internal Documentation of teachers, administrative staff, Parents, students and the educational community. - We want to manage in Contentful our content system for our public channel, our academic blog. - We can integrate our AWS Educate platform, with JamStack, and Contentful! - We can use our current Framework and change it in the future.
Contentful makes data modeling extremely easy. It takes minutes to build a database schema to create a new app. I love how I can manage all the content in one place and distribute it to all sorts of systems.
While they offer a generous free plan, the pricing could get expensive pretty fast depending on your usage.
We are creating a content-rich application, Contentful allows us to manage content in one place and distribute to all sorts of different platform. The API calls are really fast and the documentation of each language is very well documented.
While building a new software with a lot of unknowns, one of the best decisions a software company can make is to use Contentful to tackle the complexities with highly reliable and flexible content infrastructure. The core product is very simple and efficient, scales from beginning to end. On top, it offers a great marketplace (and ability to build your own apps/extensions) that makes Contentful the winner of its own market. Highly recommended.
UX has some room for improvements, and company seems to be already working hard on adressing it.
We use Contentful for storing and managing highly dynamic data that is subject to change often structurally. Some ofthese data is partially business logic, some of them are layout (yes - we use Contentful as a layout editor as well!) Contentful not only makes it possible, it also provides a neat interface to manage it so we don't have to re-invent the wheel. For us, it's way beyond a CMS actually.
