- Quick & friendly customer support - Flexible with few limitations - Simple and straight forward to work with - Possibility to custimize - Anyone can work with it once project is set up
- Minor limits in location API - Requires developer skills to set up project (which is why it comes with the advanced features we like, so not really a minus)
- Complex tagging of different content types to create a sophisticated search engine on site - Linking an external automated content base that updates the CMS content continuously
It is so simple to use. The content delivery API is so easy to use and very full featured. The UI extensions are great.
It is not as extensible as other options like ContentStack. It doesnt have a full featured Rich Text field yet.
A CMS for our ecommerce website.
Contentful is GREAT at modeling content. It's awesome to be able to model your content to represent your actual content and deliver it via simple SDK's and leave the rendering of that content to your web application, mobile app, etc... It also makes re-using content really simple.
I'd like to see more built-in field types. The new rich text editor is pretty good, but is missing things that are required for it to be truly useful in a web app setting. Also, with lots of content, the content editor can be a little overwhelming. You can save custom views which is basically just a single content type filter. Would be great to be able to create views that combine several related types of content, filter by a property, etc...
Right now we're utilizing Contentful for our non-profit's web site. The big benefits have been independence from developers and ease of content entry. It's also extremely fast!
i like that contentful is very user friendly
i dislike that sometime the pages take a while to load
streamlining processes and optimizing workflow
I love how it can integrate with my already existing programs. I have also found the customer service to be incredible, always providing solid answers to all my questions
On occasion I have difficulty working my mobile app version. I think that may be more user based error, but I am still figuring out how to use it most effectively.
Because I can use it in my already exiting platforms, I have been solving my business problems more effectively and efficiently. The learning curve is very quick, making this an amazing product to just start working with right away. I have a photography business and am looking to create spaces for that.
I really love ease of use! No learning curve at at all.
There is genuinely nothing I can say I dislike about Contentful.
With Contentful I am able to effortlessly ship all of my content that has been a help when sending huge data everyday.
it is the first time I am ursing a headless CMS. I found Contentful to be really intuitive and user friendly, even for beginners. The guide that is provided is really helpful and I liked the fact that you can find everything on the same page. The team was also available for my questions and ready to help. thank you!
when uploading images, the quality from the original picture can be reduced
the website was transfered from an organization to ours, the fact that Contentful is intuitive, even for beginners, was really useful in implementing the required changes rapidly.
What I like most about Contentful is that it's easy to navigate. They have a tutorial for you as soon as you join, and after you get the hang of it, it's like second nature. It's really helped my team make a cohesive website. I use Contentful every day for my job and it's one of the best software I've used for content management.
There isn't anything in particular that I would say I dislike about it. The only thing I could think of is that it seems intimidating at first, but once you know your way around you'll have no issues.
It's solving the way that we have to categorize things for our website. It puts everything into consideration when you're designing your website. It makes it so easy to have a cohesive website.
Super clean and fast interface. Easy to build content types and content models. Fantastic community/free plan that helps get started.
some internal search capabilities are a little clunky
Headless cms which allows easy content editing and addition, super fast website and improvements in Core VItals and Google rankings
Lets our developers and product teams work seamlessly and efficiently together, which frees both up to do what they do best. Also help integrate our marketing efforts creating alignment across the organization
no issues for us so far, would have to defer to our team leads to give ideas on what they would like to see in terms of new features or functionalities. Anything which creates more alignment and visibility on what each part of the org is doing is good
Aligning engineering, product and marketing teams so don't need to duplicate efforts across organization and everyone knows where and how their pieces fits together
easy to use numerous possibilities easy to keep an overview of what is published and what not fast from different places in the world
you need your developers to program all features that you need no tree structure
easy to access for our global team - cloud hosting re-use content in multiple pages
It has an intuitive user interface, quite possibly the easiest to use I have seen from a headless CMS. Engineers that are new to it seem to take to it quickly because of the comprehensive documentation.
Pricing is a bit high at the lowest non-free tier, especially for early stage companies that want the robustness of the platform but can't afford several hundred dollars per month.
It gives us a flexible place to manage a diverse array of content - and easy ways of tagging, classifying, and cataloging it. It saves a lot of time when making changes on-the-fly.
Contentful as a CMS is pretty great, but the best feature was the ability to integrate into so many things easily. There's a plugin for Contentful everywhere we needed.
When data gets stale, updating thousands of localized pieces of content can be challenging.
Contentful let us localize and organize content.
Ability to track the analytics in real-time, and the speed of the media uploads. It's extremely important during active weather.
the tags are a little clunky to use, and the interface could use a little work.
A way to see engagement across the myriad of our platforms.
Contentful's platform has allowed us to easily create and modify content structures for our growing business. Contentful has been well received by our developers and content publishing teams alike. The addition of App Frameworks has been valuable for extending the default input fields and handling custom JSON data structures.
Contentful's terminology can be confusing to new users. A guide that explains the relationships between Organizations, Spaces, Roles, etc would be helpful. Additionally, the platform could benefit from a better mobile content publishing experience.
Publishing content through Contentful enables us to connect various digital products to a single content source. As our business grew, so did the platforms we needed to support. A headless product like Contentful allowed us to connect any instance to a single content source, and improved our publishing workflow.
It is user friendly and pretty straightforward
It would be nice if the articles could be filtered by languages
By using this tool, we can edit content at our will in a most efficient way
The user face is super friendly for a complete beginner like me
Insert pics/other elements is not super convinient
no problem
Easy interface Great to collaborate Integration with smartling for translations is great
need more best practices around naming conventions and setup
lots of collaborators reduced dev resources for more dynamic content
It's intuitive and easy to use. I like also being able to see the final version in preview.
I would like if the time and date would update automatically.
It helps me publish articles and update it when needed.
Best cloud-based content management system. Easier maintaining of contents with kind of deployment slots environments. Compose makes our life easier by displaying all the pages in a single table view
Hierarchy display of fields when you want to dive into the last child field. No privilege on updating the elements in the rich text editor. Building the app takes a while to make the schema and bootstrapping the info. Unavailability of filter functionality to filter out the unused assets. Needs a lot of examples of the best practices on how to use Contentful with gatsby.
We are maintaining the contents on the cloud. Easy preview of the changes. Provides marketing team good flexibility. Good data structuring format with the Richtext editor. Maintaining all the assets in the cloud.
