There are additional features that I played with, but are not actively using such as the built-in ticket system and offline messaging.
There's really nothing I dislike about it so far. I could complain about having to pay for premium add-ons such as the ability to remove branding, but in reality, I'm more amazed at all it comes with at the free price level and think the premiums are worth it for larger companies who need to offer more customization.
Being able to offer instant support without a customer needing to pick up the phone has been great. Even showing the live chat available icon has been enough to sway some customer sales because they know it's easy to reach someone without making a phone call or waiting for an email response.
Branding is not obnoxious or in your face. Can easily work around it.
I dislike the add-ons they are moving towards along with the ecommerce focus.

I like how you can create specific introductions to specific groups of people. I am a huge fan of how their chat set up is. It is very easy to take multiple chats and if I wanted to I could do it on the go with their mobile app.
In the past you were able to send exe files but for security reasons that has been removed. I really liked being able to send those files, it removed a step of getting my files to the customer.
We are able to reach out to our customers and potential customers on our website. We provide support to those who would otherwise communicate through email.

Its costing and other services are chargeable where you cant do any activity without paying also the customer support charges are very high where its per hour is very very high. The alertness needs to be there cause it logs our after a while when there are no queries running. The dashboard seems a bit complicated

Tawk.to is very good software itself, the ability to have a live chat and help center all in one site is very appealing and the knowledge center function is very easy to use. I especially love the ability to create tickets or have users create tickets themselves. It really streamlines our help center process. The ability to interact with users that are currently on the site is nice to have as well.
The ability to use custom domains for $18 a month is a pretty steep price just for the ability to remove branding from a knowledge center. I believe $5 or maybe even $8.99 a month to link a domain should be a thing. I wish the live chat would tell us if they are using a VPN or Proxy, that would be a useful feature to have. Overall great software but there is more that could be present.
I haven't faced any issues, the UI is a little confusing for first-time users but it is really quick to learn. Tawk.to has increased our productivity and performance by allowing us to limit the number of emails we get from users and being able to help them in real-time without a phone call. I also see that you can hire live chat reps which is a nice benefit as well.
tawk.to is the best solution for chatting on your website totally free! Of course, there are additional packages that can be purchased separately and that add functionality to the basic chat. For example, you can hire a person for 1 $ / hour to answer chat requests for you, or you can delete the tawk.to brand. I consider it excellent especially for nonprofits who may not be able to afford to spend a lot of money in a year for a paid service.
However, this service has a lack, it does not have a service that allows the configuration of a chatbot. Especially in recent times, chatbots are depopulating and the lack is being felt. Obviously, however, it is not an essential service, and therefore we can do without it, but if we need it, we must necessarily look for some alternative service.

1) Reports section is minimal and does not provide all you need to monitor. 2) Customizing the report is difficult as it has predefined reports; however, for analysis as a manager, we would like to deep dive into reports, and it is not possible.
1) After tawk.to integration to our tool we are able to do live chats with the customers and solve their issues. 2) After the chat, if the issue is not unresolved, we have an option to convert the chat to ticket and follow up with different departments within tawk.to and get back to customers.
Tawk.to was easy to implement into our client's WordPress website. We were able to test it out in the cloud, then finally go live on our site after the client approved the functions. It was also pretty easy to onboard the staff handling the incoming chats; Tawkto's simple interface made it easy for them to see the new conversations, and we were able to create a quick action that pushed the notification of a new chat to certain key players.
There are some slight hiccups with "ending" a conversation, as it isn't intuitive in the UI. Our CS reps tend to "Ban" an incoming chat person rather than closing the chat. The bright red "ban" button is more noticeable than the "close" button, so CS reps initially click that before ending the conversation. Also, we had some slight issues with getting the page positioning correct, as it tended to take up a little too much space, but some custom CSS in the applet and on-site helped the two jive together better.
The product being sold is complicated, and many of the target customers need help from a sales staffer to complete the order. The chat allows site visitors to ask questions about the product. If through the course of the chat, it becomes apparent the user can't complete an order or quote request through the website, our CS staffers can push the customer to a Sales staffer to complete the order.

it does take some time to set up and you need to test the autoresponse and welcome messages o see what gets the best response rate. i also don't like how UI cant cuistomie the conversation base don the page they are visiting to make it more personal/specific to their journey on the site.
adding an extra touchpoint and removing barriers to initiate a conversation with a potential lead. i had people coming to the site and bouncing because they couldn't find what they were looking for. just yesterday I missed a call to the office, the user went to the website, initiate s chat, and we discussed her issue, moved the conversation to phone and booked the client in who became a paying client. so I would say try it. you really have nothing to lose if you are currently not using anything.
