What is Pipedrive?

Pipedrive describes itself as “the first CRM designed by salespeople, for salespeople”.

While it probably isn’t the first, the rest is true—it’s a CRM specifically designed to fit a sales team’s unique needs and processes. The software is designed to help teams better manage their sales pipelines, making it easier to track leads and opportunities, manage customers, and automate busywork—all in one place.

Getting Started with Pipedrive

Getting started with Pipedrive is a super easy process. Before diving into the tool’s actual features, there are only really three things you need to do:

  1. Set up your pipeline stages. Stages are fully customizable, so they can reflect the specific process you have in place.
  2. Add deals and contacts. You can add deals and contacts manually, import them via a CSV file, or import them from another tool.
  3. Invite your team and set access controls. You can invite users to the platform via bulk email invitations. You can also choose which team members will have access to certain data points.

Once you’ve completed these three steps, it’s time to start exploring the platform.

Pipelines and deals are Pipedrive’s (and every other sales CRM’s) bread and butter. They’re visual representations of your sales process, including stages, deal flow, and the status of your current deals.

In Pipedrive, pipelines are completely customizable. You can easily add new stages to the pipeline and adjust the order of stages by dragging and dropping—just click “Edit Pipeline” in the upper right-hand corner.

You can also easily add new deals and view existing ones from the pipeline view. The option to review every deal’s details is especially useful and accessible simply by clicking on it in the pipeline. This includes:

You also have the option to define custom fields for your deals. These can either be marked optional or required—perfect for helping your sales team prioritize key pieces of information in their talks. The “Deals” tab is also where your team will write notes, schedule sales activities, and track availability.

For starters, the underlying organizational system is super intuitive—contacts are organized by dividing them into “people” and “organizations”. You can then link these to the deals they’re associated with and easily check your history of calls, emails, and activities with any of your contacts or deals.

Pipedrive’s email inbox is sales-focused and super intuitive, too. It has a ton of features that speed up the process of managing and sending emails, including:

One of Pipedrive’s main selling points is its automation features. There are quite a few to unpack here, but there are two main types:

Sales automations are features designed to help you optimize your business’ sales process. Take Sales Assistant, for example—this automation tool creates custom behavior-based cards with performance tips, notifications, and progress updates for each team member on your roster. It also notifies everyone affected by changes to settings and deals, so no one’s left wondering where their recent deals went.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

The platform allows me to see the development of the project and attack the failures on time or the main problems that my work team can have. I can also schedule meetings, phone calls, business dinners with my suppliers, etc. Additionally, I consider that one of the key factors of Pipedrive, is that I can divide my projects into agreements and establish goals for the program to follow them in a period of time; I like that a lot. I can clearly say that once I entered this platform I realized that I had a variety of options to work with.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

I still do not understand the difference between the gold and platinum plan. It is almost the same. Basically I made a comparative analysis of the tools and I was able to conclude that the main tools or of greater importance both plans the contain them. No functions of importance were added; being this case a negative aspect for them more than for us, since we can have the gold plan without affecting the performance and we save costs. But for them it is a small detail that they must solve.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

This program solves the fact of managing and creating marketing campaigns for our brand. In this way, the amount of sales has been maximized, the analysis reports are obtained in real time, which allows a better decision making in the company. It also brought many benefits, mainly helped to create profiles and clients and to make the information not lost.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

It is a fundamental tool for the creation of sales campaigns, excellent as an assistant because everything is done, I just have to fill in the data and that's it, plus I can follow up in real time on compliance with deadlines and objectives. If I need to import data from another CRM, I can do it without problem. Best of all, I can schedule related events such as meetings, calls or even work lunches. It's like having a personal assistant on the computer. This program is great to observe in real time the fulfillment of objectives and to be able to solve the problems that the team can have in a fast and efficient way to achieve the objectives set

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

The interface is nice but a little serious, it should be a bit more friendly but it does not matter. The functionality it has is excellent, it really is super useful for those who do not have any type of knowledge in the area of ​​CRM programs

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem solved was how to generate sales campaigns that were attractive and easy to follow at the same time. Pipedrive does everything for you, basically it's a big screen where you fill all the fields and that's it, you have your campaign created very quickly.

" It was never so easy to create a sales strategy like now"
What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I love that it is not necessary to have great knowledge with sales programs. You can place projections of the earnings you expect to make as the project progresses. You can organize the project by daily tasks and assign them to the different members of the team. I like that I can monitor the progress of each of my co-workers and help them if they have not yet achieved the goal. It also has a kind of agenda where you can place important business meetings as well as lunches or appointments. The best part is that you can import your spreadsheets from other programs and add them to pipe drive without problems.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

the paid version is a bit expensive but I understand that it is a very powerful tool and it is worth every dollar. I'm going to buy the gold membership. I have nothing to complain about, this program exceeded all my expectations

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

This program solves the fact of managing and creating marketing campaigns because it is like a blank template where I only have to fill in the empty fields and that's it, I create my projects quickly and very easily

"My sales strategies are strengthened with Pipedrive"
What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive elevates me to new levels of sales with potential customers. To register I only needed five minutes and it leaves me numerous strategies to interact with users. With this tool I can also record sales data in real time for evaluation. I love the simplicity of its design and does not require high knowledge for its handling. Pipedrive is a great start to embark on digital marketing. The most expensive plan I've ever paid for is platinum and it's only fifty dollars a month to make all options available. I think it's a cheap opportunity.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

I can tell that there are some tweaks that are not capable for scenarios such as complex sales force automation. The simplicity it offers me indicates that as my company grows, I must move to another tool. I still don't understand the difference between the gold and platinum plan. It's pretty much the same thing.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the benefits is that it allows me to start with a free edition and the first paid version only requires fifteen dollars per month. With Pipedrive I can solve a quick organization of sales reports.

The numerous things I love about pipedrive are: -It is a sales tool easy to use, it allows us to look in real time at the sales panorama, and pipedrive helps to generates reports and notifications of the different activities. -The information for the sales of our company, are managed and simplified for the use, and It is adaptable to the needs of users, in our company we adapt to perfection. -It generates indicators, which allow to identify, the exact moment to close a sale. - it generates reminders of activities, mobile notifications and alerts via email. -The use of templates in emails, saves time when read and respond to them. -An application easy to implement for low-level users. -The complete information of the clients is in instantaneous disposition, since it owns a mobile application, which allows the access in any part of the world, with facility and rapidity. -Organize the business, in a structured way, and manage more efficient sales, generating the increase in revenues.

I don't really dislike anything about pipedrive but I wish they could improve on the mobile application, it doesn't allow detailing the items on an invoice.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive is a simple CRM, easy to use by any newbie, but at the same time it is very complete. It is well known worldwide and enjoys prestige. It is possible to access it from any device with an internet connection. It integrates very well with other applications. It allows me to program activities of various kinds. The technical support service is very effective and they are always attentive to give concrete answers. Its price is quite competitive.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

A disadvantage of Pipedrive is that it does not allow me to customize the account with the same freedom that other applications do in its style. On the other hand it does not offer a free version but a Cloud that lasts a few days. However, I think it meets our expectations.

we are uncomfortable that we do not allow us to identify by means of filters which are the potential clients and which is not this softwere has all types of clients together which makes us dedicate the same time to all the clients, on the other hand it does not give me the option of being able to use the electronic mail in the mobile being this a very big disadvantage for the platform, the company also notes that it does not have much variation of sales tools which limits us a little the work and having to repeat in some occasions the same tools

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

What I like most about Pipedrive is that it allows me to sort and classify my possible clients in a simple way thanks to how easy it is to interface. In the same way it allows me to manage my sales funnel in the way, thus enhancing our productivity. Pipedrive allows me to access the account from my office team but also from my mobile device, which allows me to work from the street or home. It has a competitive price.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

When there is an incident, sometimes the technical support service does not respond in a relatively short time. Once we had a problem that we reported and it took more than 6 days to respond. I think they should be more attentive.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit Pipedrive has given us has been to automate a part of our production process oriented towards sales. Learning to use it was simple. It was not necessary to pay any specialist to teach us how to use the software. It could be said that we learned without help from anyone. The benefits of using Pipedrive have been reflected in our sales in the last 6 months.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive is easy to use. It has an intuitive interface that makes it possible to handle this application in a relatively short time. I can access the application from any device with an internet connection which allows me to even work from home if I wish. It integrates very well with the Google calendar as well as with the Google contacts calendar. It offers very valuable statistical reports that contain detailed information about the offers won and lost and the balance of tasks performed. Its price-value ratio is beneficial. It has a very good technical support that always provides timely and concrete answers.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

It would be good if Pipedrive had a better search engine because I think that the one offered has some limitations. Companies handle large amounts of information that we need to locate at certain times. Sometimes it is somewhat complex to do it with the current search engine.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

The impact of using Pipedrive in our company has undoubtedly been beneficial. Now we have an application that allows us to automate part of the processes to market our product. The best thing is that the adaptation was very fast due to the simplicity of this tool. Really Pipedrive came to our company to fill us with victories and successes.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I like this system a lot because it allows me to have a faster and more flexible sales management, since it lets me see how my sales team's performance is going in real time, by day, monthly or annually. What do you like best about Pipedrive?

What I like most about Pipedrive is that it is easy to use. The taskbar, the main menu, the sub-menus are arranged in such a way that it is easy to manage this softeware. Something very practical is that you can link to the Gmail calendar. It integrates very well with other softwares. It's economic. It offers free versions.

I think the interface should improve in aesthetic terms. Sometimes it is hard to work because chlorides do not help much. In the same way I would like to have more updates available. For the rest I have nothing more negative to say about Pipedrive.

Since we started using Pipedrive, the improvement from the quantitative (income) and qualitative (personnel welfare) point of view has been exponential. With Pipedrive we have facilitated the work because it has contributed in a positive way to the way we communicate. We really have a lot to thank Pipedrive for.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

The Pipedrive document library is very extensive, thanks to its storage capacity in the cloud. Its interface allows us to send documents easily to our contacts, and has many templates for documents, fully customizable. Its integration with the Outlook and Gmail services are very stable. On the web you can find many files referring to learning about the use of Pipedrive. Most are for public use, and they are quite informative. The deployment of Pipedrive is extensive when it comes to cloud capacity. Thanks to this we can store our sales funnels within the platform with great comfort. The response we've got from the Pipedrive sales team has been quick. We are satisfied with our impression of technical support service. The community of peer users of Pipedrive has proven to be very valuable. They have helped us on numerous occasions, and we are pleased with that.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Excel sales reports are not interactive enough. The sales forecasting tool is slow, and it is difficult to configure it. It is a little complicated to add business to our funnels, and the design of Pipedrive does not allow us to take a view of the entire life cycle of the sales funnel.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

The layout of the sales funnels is orderly, easy to understand, and very schematized to the needs of our business. This excellent CRM allows us to manage our potential customers and send email messages in bulk simultaneously. It is versatile. We like to filter the task lists according to priorities and emergencies.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

The platform gives us a host of different types of managers not just as CRM for small businesses, but for sales and marketing management. This includes your sales manager in the field, contracts, commissions, campaigns, contacts, and even the use of prospecting tools. With it we can prevent our accounts and perform analysis of quite updated trends. Pipedrive has been represented excellently by its sales team at the time of giving way to the negotiation of the contract payment. They have good offers. We have been answered very timely, and for that we are grateful for the customer service provided by Pipedrive. They also offer good solutions.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive does not offer us any alternative to be able to carry out marketing through emails, or to make segmentations or alerts of properties (Regarding your case of management of real estate clients). The software does not provide us with the possibility of managing our call center, as well as surveys or follow-up of recommendations.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pipedrive is the indicated tool so that our sales are made in the most organized way possible. This has a fairly simple and recommended design, which prioritizes ease of use over other platforms. With it we find it much easier to archive our information.

It should be noted that Pipedrive has granted us an excellent payment process for the service. Your payment platform is very well optimized, and its terms of service are acceptable. The integration given by the Pipedrive platform to many other sales management services is quite good. In addition, it has an excellent display.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

However, Pipedrive does not have tools for managing email marketing, and does not allow tracking of customer recommendations. It also does not allow analysis of the attention given to customers, and does not have a live chat tool. Pipedrive does not have a call recording system.

There are a lot of things that we liked about Pipedrive. Several examples of this is that the funnel levels are 100% customizable in regards to the sample statistics. In each funnel the businesses are classified according to different stages of sale, so it is easier to review our impulses and know which sales direct our effort.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I really like this system because it allows me to have a visualization of all the sales management of my business, it is also capable of issuing complete and detailed reports that saves us a lot of time in decision making. What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I love using this system because it allows me to evaluate the opportunities of my business and lets me see the processes of each stage of management, it also allows me to integrate it with several applications in order to have everything at hand. One of the things that I really liked was being able to use their e-mail tray, since it allows me to use them all from this software. It also has templates that can be customized in order to start a round of conversations with customers and in turn with the sales process. It has a very friendly and simple interface that does not require that you have a wide knowledge, since it allows to be handled quickly.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

I have been using this system for almost 2 years now and for the moment I have only had a specific failure when saving new information within the software, but it has been solved quickly, since Pipedrive has an efficient technical support team that gives you a good help.

Thanks to this system, my business has been able to improve its sales thanks to the fluid interaction with the clients, it also allows me to be able to offer advice in case of being necessary regarding the new products that I am handling in my inventories. What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I really like this system because it has allowed me to understand many processes that I did not know in my business, I can even follow up on each client in order to have a broad view of potential clients and how to sell them, the process of issuing Reports of this system is very complete and intuitive. This software is great because it allows me to organize the products by their respective prices and to be able to evaluate the level of acceptance of my clients with these respective products. Before acquiring this system I could use the trial version and with it knowing each function of the same one, when finishing the test time do not hesitate to acquire this incredible system.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Something I do not like about this system is its update process that occasionally fails or separates without allowing my computer to use it, and it is annoying to be able to restart the system. But talk to the support and they solved it for me. Hopefully it will not happen again.

Thanks to Pipedrive we have been able to save time in the decision making since this system issues a complete system of reports, very detailed and easy to understand.
