I like that you can integrate free dropshipping apps to create an online ecommerce store. This is such a good way to add a store to any website. Also, the pricing options are very fair. They have a "lite" plan that allows you to use Shopify on your Wordpress website for less than $10 a month. This is a no brainer for anyone thinking of trying out ecommerce or setting up any sort of online store.
I don't like that it is still pretty tedious to make changes to the dropshipping apps. It isn't very user friendly and take a steep learning curve to get used to it.
I am allowing my company to sell legitimate physical products without having to hold any inventory. That is priceless.
Ease of use and custom website Builder/templates. Perfect and easy to track inventory and upload and navigation.
Not SEO friendly and still limits yoast usability.
Saves time in building a website
I like Shopify's ability to sync with the Printful and other API's across the internet to make print on demand t-shirts a lot easier.
I wish Shopify would connect directly with instagram so people could click the photo and go directly to the shirt on shopify instead of the home page.
We solved the problem of not needing to have an inventory buy using shopify with the printful. Shopify would receive the order , send the details to printful, printful would then print the shirts and ship them to the correct address in less than 3 days.
This product is a convenient tool to use in business. It offers many options for personalization to attract clients.
I have found nothing to dislike about this program.
We use this for customer engagement. We are able to personalize the experience to attract more people.
You can build a online store in a short time period. The performance is very good, on the admin and front side. Adding orders is fast and simple.
The only thing I did not like was that we had no access to some of the server backend options.
You don't need a many developers.
Ease of use, affordable cost, robust template and apps marketplace and most of all, their support is top-notch with 24/7 chat service!
There are some limitations including having to close my store to switch over store templates because there is no way to create drafts in the html product editor and limited discount code features although that seems to have improved.
I needed an affordable, robust eCommerce software with great templates and which easily integrated with various payment systems to start my business and Shopify has enabled me to do so easily.
Love that is very simple to use. I recommend all the time.
I would say the transaction fees. A few others that I use dropped their transaction fees.
Tracking inventory and deliveries. Benefits are that it is amazing and makes the job so much easier.
I feel like the possibilities are endless with this program. There are so many options and things you can add to your online store to simplify shopping; which in turn helped my business grow to its highest point. Mostly due to the ease of the whole process.
Honestly, the seller fees are steep. But, when you're looking at selling for a fee or not selling at all, it is worth it.
When you live in a city where the population is low or rent is too high to start a store, this is a great way to get hundreds, if not thousands of new customers. I have realized that potential for repeat buyers is high if the platform is catchy and the product can match the standards.
Shopify is the best out of the box solution to quickly launch an ecommerce store. They provide the foundation for your store and have an amazing marketplace of apps to install on top of it in order to meet nearly any ecommerce site need you may have.
The worst part about Shopify is its small inventory of available themes to download or purchase. You can customize your themes to try and stand out but otherwise you end up looking like every other ecommerce site out there and I think that can sometimes hurt sales.
I'm solving the business problem of having to build and manage my own ecommerce site. I don't need to worry about credit card or paypal integrations because that is worked into the shopify experience for me. The greatest benefit is the full purchasing compliance that every Shopify theme has to avoid legal issues.
The filters to pull specific orders, entering product information was easy, & input of shipping costs for websites were simple.
The wait time for customer service to respond.
Organizations, orders are pulling in through with ease.
Anyone can set up a retail store within minutes with Shopify. If you have something you are already selling offline and would want to increase your market; Use Shopify. Setting up is a breeze and going live happens in minutes literally.
If you are not in the United States then you have to use payment channels other than Shopify payments which could incur more costs to you.
Increasing reach to sell whatever you have to sell is very easy with Shopify. The World is literally a Global Village.
The way customer support go out their way to help you.
There is nothing to dislike about this software
I'm able to get my supplies and correspond with the customers
I really like how user friends it is and it shows ways to improve site use
Adding sub categories is semi limited with layout
Having an online store. It is super easy to manage. This is my first time with a store so having something easy to navigate is important
It’s was easy. I’ve tried many other website store builders and none of them even come close to how easy Shopify makes it. Customer support is top notch. It’s nice to have them around to chat with when I have a question or need design help.
The free themes are good but if you want something custom it can get a little pricy. But less than $200 for an awesome theme is still a deal in the web design world.
We’re using Shopify to offer a subscription product. This would be a huge headache if we used any offer service. I did not realize how many other applications integrate with Shopify.
It's easy. It works. It looks professional.
It's pricey. Cost per sale is high. Not much support unless you're a big account and willing to pay for it.
Total time-saver. Can be efficient with changes/updates.
Easy to set up, easy to use. Once it is set up I can manage it all myself.
You have to pay for every little add on. There are tons of add-ons you can have which is fantastic, but everything comes at a cost.
I don't have to spend time doing web development on a website when I really just want to sell my products. I can focus on what I sell instead of making sure the site works.
I created my company over night with no clue as to what I was even doing. All i knew was that I was trying to sell this really neat stuff that I was creating. I started with buy sell trade groups on Facebook that quickly became a disaster. I needed an online shopping cart platform and I needed it ASAP. I did some research on the different options for small businesses. I was just starting up and didn't want to spend a small fortune that I didn't have just yet. I needed somewhere that customers could order online and pay at the same time. Shopify gave me just that, they offered me low rate credit card processing with no monthly minimum and made the sales process seamless.
One of the options that drew me to Shopify is that they offered a free trial, I however believe that a 30 day free trial opposed to a 14 day free trial would give the end used more sufficient time to get to know the system and decide if this system is what is going to work for them.
I am making custom orders, I was trying to direct customer to Paypal but heard a lot of excuses as to why people couldn't pay using Paypal and would just pay cash on pickup. Using this interface the customer is required to pay, which creates less flakes and less money lost in supplies that are never picked up and paid for. I have a clean system to keep track of all of my orders.
I like that I was able to have own place and design it how I like.
Nothing much. Shopify has been quite beneficial.
I have more products that I can add to my store
The ease of use, it is just so easy to use this thing. I have worked with others in the past that gave me headaches trying to run reports, export contacts for marketing or adding products. Shopify has made all of this (and more) much better and easier.
Sometimes the cost and fees. ALso Upon sign up while I reviewed the templates nothing really popped out much as being different than the other. Also, I have run into a few issues with the options of input for forms.
I was using another vendor for my online store and it was old, clunky and turns out insecure. Since switching over I have never looked back.
The most important thing is in Shopify, they have great support team. They are available at any time when you need help. Its secure no need to worry about any security matter and SSL is already installed. Its very easy to use. Its not important that you should have programming skills. Shopify themes are easy to customize very user friendly and also Shopify allow drop shipping business.
I do not like monthly payment system for apps. It should be one time investment. Shopify should have monthly plan min $10, so that any one who are interesting to start there online business can give a try to start online business with low investments.
Its not important you should have your own products. You can use drop shipping system using free apps like Oberlo. we can set up store over night and sell next day.
