Shopify is a leader in ecommerce which makes it very helpful for someone just starting out, they have an informative blog, a platform that integrates everywhere, and also a physical location in Los Angeles dedicated to offering free help. Their location has one on one guru support.
I dislike that Shopify uses as a primary Paypal Express which unfortunately is a service that tends to side with scamming customers over an honest business even sometimes with proof. I wish they were able to offer Square Invoicing but cannot I heard because they are a competitor. Paypal seems to never be on the side of the business.
The benefit of shopify is that they are the most advanced in helping create real entrepreneurs on the internet because of all the capabilities they have and all the help they provide from in-person help to a shopify academy with videos to also a youtube with more videos and a blog about the entire business process.
The best thing about shopify is that is it very simple to use and great for quick shopping.
There is nothing to dislike about shopify. It is great to use and fast to use.
The benefits to Shopify is that shopping is fast and quick to use. I love this software.
I love Shopify it’s a great e-commerce for starting any business but particularly a dropshipping shipping business due to its fantastic integration of print to consumer sites and Oberlo which lets you import stuff from Aliexpress to Oberlo to your Store which is tedious but easier than manually importing items. My only complaint is their lack of customization with their themes they’re all nice and modern but the blog section has a lack of customization and is pretty boring I wouldn’t use it if it wasn’t so easy to import products from Aliexpress.
The lack of blog and page customization in the main themes without the need to learn code and build your own themes or pay for another theme on top of the over 300 I already paid for the year. I want my site to look like Wayfair.com and that’s impossible with any of the free themes.
Importing of products is easy, social media integration is pretty easy importing products to Google AdWords is helpful as well
Shopify is one of the best options for creating online stores since it is very easy to customize the website to your liking and optimize the entire store to improve the sales ratio. We love this platform because it provides an easy configuration and has a variety of themes to configure and adapt the store exactly as we want.
We have had several problems with different applications that we have added to our store, which has made it difficult for us to automate and send the products.
Shopify has become one of the best solutions for managing our online stores since it is very easy to install and configure.
Tracking everything is so easy when it is all in one place! Refunds, old orders, new orders, customer information, monthly sales, daily sales and returns. It is all there and so easy to find! Keeping track of orders along with the shipping information makes it super easy. It is also very easy to explain when training new staff. They can catch on quick on how to run around and find information for customers and place orders!
Could be an easier way to change an address rather then having to manually do it all over!
Returns are something we are cutting down on. This helps keep track of how many we have and we can add a note on why we refunded them. Very helpful!
I have really enjoyed building my site. The assistance I have recieved from the cust support team was very helpful!
I do not like having to purchase 3rd party apps to obtain some function of the shop.
Less overhead costs
I love how simplified E-commerce is with Shopify. The automations for editing products on bulk makes work a lot easier. I get a bunch done very quickly!
It's not that I exactly dislike it, but I do wish I could edit the actions available for when I want to edit specific products in a single collection, without editing them all.
I work for a client that has high volume orders, and Shopify makes it easy to get them done quickly, versus when I was editing products on the original site one at a time.
Shopify can stand its ground as one of the most used e-commerce builders. So if what you want is an e-commerce builder with a great reputation, Shopify is for you. It is invariably easier to build and likewise operate an e-commerce store with it than any other tool. I like it more because of how easy it is. You can manage your online store anywhere, anytime.
Subscription does not consider if you operate or not, as long as you are registered, you keep paying a subscription fee. It would be nice if they can offer a more flexible where you can pay probable per transaction. However, you'll enjoy it to the fullest ones you start making sales.
I created this wonderful store using Shopify, and I get to manage it as well anywhere. It has made great sales since launching
It’s easy to use and customer service is always there 24/7
Sometimes it takes awhile to get help with customer service. I wish they would hire more people
Plug in and go
I like Shopify a lot, because it is very easy to manage and it is the best tool to carry the business of fishing goods forward. This platform gave me the opportunity to sell and above all to change the appearance of the web store.
What I don’t like about Shopify is that for beginners it is not very easy to configure the platform. Shopify should give more induction in this regard.
Shopify is very effective and practical for e-commerce. It helps me in every sense, for example: Its plugins give me the possibility to sell even more, it gives the opportunity to control the traffic of the website, and it allows me to follow-up the customers’ orders.
Shopify is a great platform for folks who are starting out and experienced sellers as well. The pricing is outstanding and the support it top notch! I use Shopify for two businesses I own and in both cases I like the ease of building the site and the customization options both in terms of shopping cart features as well as elegant pages for blogs, news, and general information. One of the best features is the newly improved home page where you can view a snapshot of what's selling, what people are looking at, the referrals (where they are coming from) and so on. I can get a good idea if I put an article on Facebook or a short video on Youtube what the impact was by referral information.
Some of the add-ons from independent developers are a bit pricey and you can easily get too wrapped up in working on the site instead of marketing. Besides that I find that the APPs need to be vetted a bit more -- some of them are buggy and I find as a user I am spending time trouble-shooting an APP rather than using it. But over all the APPs are great.
I sell both physical and digital goods on one site and use the other more as a visual catalog for clothing I sell to retailers. So my needs are diverse and Shopify handles both without a problem. I will say what makes me successful on Shopify, though -- like any site (including Wordpress, Wix, etc.) is excellent graphics and well written content. I don't write content on Shopify -- I first write it in a document and then bring it in. I collect my images before I build the page. A common mistake a lot of users make is to use a pre-made template. This is a disaster because those templates were designed with a specific message in mind-- and its not your message! So whatever site software you use, do yourself a favor and first collect the images, write the pitches and supportive content and THEN layout your own wireframe using the Themes page building features. There are a lot of APPs there to support making it look great -- and this way it will be your message.
Interesting way to build custom pages, usually they have a good support, it's a stable system with many apps and integrations.
You can't control everything like Wordpress
e-commerce website
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows anyone to easily sell online. It walks you through set up with your shop making it very user friendly from the start. If you want to build a website and you have little to no experience then Shopify is the platform for you. You can very easily get your store set up and running in one day.
Some of the features can become very complex at times.
Used to setup our webstore.
Shopify is the easiest and fastest way to create Ecommerce website. It is best suited for Dropshipping business. Shopify is SaaS platform we just need to signup and create our online store. One best thing is it provides 14 day free trial. After full setup in trial mode then we can purchase it with 29$ per month basic plan. Shopify provides different free and premium themes which provides beautiful and responsive look to our store.
Shopify is SaaS software in which we have to pay for its services. Some users think it is costly for small budget users.
I am using shopify for our website AgileSoftTech. Which is totaly developed in Shopify.
I like the ease of integrations with inventory systems and the overall ease to post and adjust SKU data live on the web
I dont like how some of the developer tools for creating custom aspects can be a bit clunky
I have solved the ability to easily post and edit SKUs on Jet.com/Walmart.com. I was not sure how this worked on Jet before using shopify.
Very simple set up that gets you up and working within a couple days.
Limited amount of applications for tracking
E-commerce site for services
The flexibility of the platform, which uses user interface themes and applications for front-end and back-end features and options, as well as the widespread adoption of the Shopify platform by developers and merchants, make it the best choice for most business cases.
The Shopify team has been reinvesting all of its revenue back into improvements and expansion of the platform for several years, everything that has been a problem in the past has finally been improved or fixed. For our cases of size and color variants there have been some usability issues about how the images and image galleries of the variants can be configured and linked and this can be improved.
With the ease of automated marketing and free training material, we are always one step ahead of the competition. We have a global and company-specific point of view to better understand trade, orders to adapt our products and sales.
Shopify is an incredibly user-friendly and there automated email tools like order confirmations and abandoned cart are essential to any e-commerce business
Integration with some major email service providers like is not very compatible
Simplifying e-commerce solutions to create a more seamless online shopping experience
From marketing physical products, to custom products, to mailing, everything is simple with Shopify. Everything is complete, and can be done within the Shopify system.
You will need some programming knowledge to be able to modify existing themes. It's not that the themes they have aren't good, but sometimes, you just want to modify them a little, so that's the only problem I have.
Improve relationships with suppliers and end customers
What I liked the most are the different payment options and the ease with which they can be customized. The Shopify payment gateway has lower commissions compared to others. The Shopify store has beautiful themes and many applications that extend the functionality and capabilities of the platform.
I like Shopify but sometimes the simplest task can be uncomfortable: filtering collections by options such as color, size or type in a more complex way can only be done with applications, not with native support.
The integrated reports have been very useful.
