Ability to leverage our segment data to see our website performance and certain parts of our app in real-time
Lack of ability to use segment event properties to build segments by users
Real-time view of our application funnel for our product and website
Flexibility and customisations of the reports are very good. You can look through a specific metric from different angles on a single screen in a moment. Custom formulas allow you to get even more insights on behavioural patterns without involving a developer.
Revenue reports are not ver comprehensive as for me and don't allow to analyze the traffic/installs attribution in a native way (without integrating third-party tools)
Marketing analysis, product development strategy
The simplicity of the tool, is highly appreciate: I'm using it on both weekly/monthly monitoring but also to present specific points to my colleges during meetings. The visualization is so simple to operate, which makes it part of a lot of conversations and business decisions we make. I just love the weekly view, helps me a lot with understanding trends.
Sometimes it's a little hard for me to understand on which information amplitude is using to infer fields. I.e: user device - I don't know how amplitude knows the device ( I guess that amplitude use the user agent information, but would be glad to have documentation in this), another field is the session - amplitude has an algorithm for inferring session, but I do not know what it is. The user events screen is also amazing, but sometimes in the search event there is not working well..
In order to understand trends better, we need to visualize history data. For us these parameters are critical.
Ability to see real time analytics and respective take actions to address unwanted experiences. Additionally, the analytics helped us drive investment decision for our product
I would appreciate few more workshops and tutorials
We are solving for user adoption of available digital tools and reduce the turnaround time. We have line of sight to achieve 25% adoption rate and 20k+ hours of saving by optimizing experience
Amplitude Analytics is used all across our company. From Marketing and Product development to Operations and Customer service. Every department that needs to understand user behavior patterns rely on Amplitude Analytics. Two important benefits are the ability to drill down and the ability to follow the customer experience across platforms and across devices. Key is the ability to decide specifically what is important to track instead of being fed all data all the time. Removing what is not needed gives us cleaner data. Adoption within a specific department is almost automatic because of the ease of use and report set up. The built in explanations lead to the actual use of more functions and seem to invite exploration of features leading to more robust results. We are also easily able to share views so that results are seen and understood by other teams. This leads to adoption across departments. When the whole team works from the same central data views, there are no more quandaries from conflicting sources of truth. Data cleanliness, data accessibility, and data centralization make Amplitude Analytics a powerful resource for our organization.
Amplitude really helps managers and decision makers see data and get it easily fed to them at different intervals. The only downside is that sometimes individuals may make key decisions without a reasonable integrity check from a data analyst. Data can mislead if original assumptions are not confirmed. Don't forget to include your analysts.
A/B Testing, user acceptance and user preferences more easily become sources of data to drive decision making.
Quite easy to learn and use. Helps in daily monitoring of Key Performance Indicators. All the tools are quite convenient, and if something is not clear, then there is a big library of helpful articles for you to read.
It is uncomfortable to change the order of events if there are really a lot of them (more than 15). It really pisses me off to drag one line after another. And you also cant get the one from the bottom to the top with one movement. The list just would not scroll. So you have to drag your event twice if you want to put it on top.
I track the Key Performance Indicators of the game such as Retention, Average Revenue Per User, Life Time Value, Paying Share and many others. Then i can build theories on these indicators and draw conclusions. This is how i can improve key metrics of my product and make more money at the end.
Very fast and flexible to present data, useful to design dashboards
Sometimes difficult to understand some of types presenting data on the charts. For example I don't understand how to create chart time lag to conversion (event) in days.
Analyze users behavior, flow and retention. Also track where we have problem with metrics. We use free version
Its so easy to quickly get high level insight into events when you're put on the spot and want to grab some data
Organising charts is difficult, cant find a good way to arrange dashboards
We use Amplitude in IOS apps to get real-time data from our users
Cohort analisis Compas Understanding user behavior in your plataform
Static cohort analysis. And I would like more tutorials to use amplitude at its top potencial
Understanding paths, ways to conversion, a/b yes analysis
It is easy to use, to integrate and they have a good support team. Even if you are not technical it easy to understand the use. I like the perk that they have for early stage startups, we can use almost the full tool for free, it helps a lot. I recommend to other startup founders. I think that this is one of the main analytic tools that you should have to create sophisticated products. We use it connected to segment.
Data update sometimes it not working the fast I would like. it is not always updated and I need to go chart by chart refreshing to see our company´s performance in real time, in my case for example I need to do it every morning. It will be useful to have a dashboard refresh button to solve that. It will be helpful a chart recommender based in the events that an specific company is tracking, I am sure that it will help companies to measure things that they would not think will be measurable.
We know everything about our users behavior and we can report KPIs properly. It is the main way we use to make decisions in the next product developments. We also can measure our own team KPIs performance with personalized dashboards so they can check any time their productivity date.
How easy it is to set funnels based on Events. It is really important that you set all the events in a proper way, once you have done that, it works very fluent. In addition, the way we have combined Amplitude with other tools like AppsFlyer, Segment or Braze has made this combination great to analyze our business and take data driven decsions. Another great feature is being able to share funnels with users outside of Amplitude, it makes it quite unique and easy to share.
1. Main problem is that sometimes it goes very slow, it takes time to load the charts and becomes a little annoying 2. Another thing to improve is that they go from a purely Free Plan to a pretty expensive one. It would be great to have something in the middle. 3. It would be great an integration with Google Data Studio so that you can have the best of the two worlds
1. Main one we did was understanding our OnBoarding. We have a Mobile App and in two months after integrating Amplitude we went from a very long OnBoarding with 5% Conversion Rate to a 40% conversion rate. We saw clearly the drop-offs steps we put the focus on fixing those and once we did we had an ok OnBoarding conversion. Once you have cohorts it allows you segmenting your users to enhance engagement. 2. Provide visibility to the company so that they can all see what's happening
It is very good to see the in-app behavior of each user separately. Analyzes prepared to see the behavior of all users or a certain segment meet all your needs
Insight Add-On (Alert Mechanism) is paid.
-We have seen which module users use more in the application. -We understood our mistakes faster.
Amplitude gives us a great understanding of how our users are using our platform. It's very easy to integrate into our apps, and very easy to use and read and understand data off. I particularly like the release timeline feature, and how it enables us to see all of our mobile app updates shown in the charts we plot, which makes it easy to see how a particular update may have impacted some of our KPIs. On top of that, it can also function as an internal documentation tool, to list all of the updates we've done, with which changes, and how they've impacted our main metrics each time.
As an Amplitude user, I can't really pinpoint something that I really dislike about it. A couple of things that may be improved: - I regularly switch from one project to the other, between our production project and our sandbox one, and sometimes I end up making charts on the wrong project without realizing. - Between all the platform's features, my team spaces, and my dashboards, I sometimes feel like there are a lot of things on the screen, and it can lead to spending some time trying to find what I'm looking for, if I don't remember the name of the feature / dashboard / etc...
I'm mainly using Amplitude to do the following: - Monitor the main metrics of my mobile apps: KPIs, new users, retention, etc... - Create dashboards used to report those metrics to stakeholders. - Investigate how users interact with each of the features we release. - Investigate on who our users are, by using user properties. - I can analyze the results of an A/B test too, by using an user property to split users into different groups - I can trace the journey of specific users, which can a great help when debugging something in my app. - I keep track of all the events I have added into my app and easily find which ones are not sent anymore. - I use it as a source of truth for each release we do, and how they've impacted our metrics.
— Great overview dashboards — Ability to track every user action and create all the possible funnels — Easy to set up — Internal event database — Easy sharing and integrations
— Complex UX, but this is a huge platform, so you need to be ready for it
— Analyzing new features performance — Analyzing user behavior on the product pages
DIY reports and dashboards Easy to setup Your data is on your control
Behavioral analytics could have a free tier option
I use it to track users interaction with mobile app and web app
The amplitude has excellent documentation. The extension helps the development team to test events and verify that everything is adequate. The ease of navigation and the creation of reports is also very nice. And especially the easy access for startups helps a lot!
Retention analysis is still confusing. I also miss a greater relationship with visiting specific pages. A page flow is a nice feature that I miss a lot. I am also dissatisfied with the targeting options. I believe that you can evolve these options a lot. Regarding the team space, I think this feature is badly explored. I find its use confusing and basically I prefer to use only dashboards. Besides the team space, i feel that the release timeline is a little explored feature. I believe that it should be possible to compare results from different versions of the same app. It is only signaled the day that the version went up, but not the entire period that version X was available. Version-based comparison would be really useful.
I use amplitude mainly to understand how is the behavior and use of users of my product. The main benefits I see are in relation to the easy creation of funnels and charts to analyze revenue, acquisition and other funnels. Exporting data via CSV helps a lot to create customized reports and today I use it a lot. In addition to analyzing user behavior, today amplitude helps a lot as a form of user usage log. In many situations our operation team uses breadth to understand the process of a specific user.
Amplitude has a range of features that may be used by a large company as well as a small startup. You can use it for complex analysis, and at the same time to quickly create a simple chart to check your hypothesis. As a startup, we appreciated their yearly scholarship. It helped us to get valuable insights from the usage of our app. Also, we understood how to use Amplitude, what we need and what we need at this point but will definitely need in the future.
The interface is kinda hard to pick up quickly, needed about 1,5 months just to understand features.
We are looking at the usage of our app to understand the key features. Also, we track the usage of new features after releases to find out what users like and what they do not like.
The best thing about Amplitude is that most of its features are available in the free version, unlike other tools which is very helpful for small businesses.
It lacks few features like page view tracking which is available in Google Analytics
We are trying to understand customer behavior through Amplitude Analytics. It has helped us identify the user pain points and also understand the success of a new feature we ship.
The sheer ease of analytics. I can make all the different types of cuts and it is very easy to analyze. I can even create custom events and mathematical operations. It is extremely agile and fast. Looking at trendlines and tracking user journeys has been a cakewalk since we implemented Amplitude. It is also very easy to use and intuitive for all my colleagues to create their own experiments and funnels.
No universal filters on dashboards. Should have minimum filters on Dashboard itself. countless accidental clicks happen on the dashboard. Chart clickability should be restricted on Dashboards Universal date change should be a feature that should help with changing dates across all segments at once. This would help save a lot of time.
Tracking everyday product funnels. Solving different problem statements. Tracking product KPIs. Tracking release stability. Checking trend lines of new and old features. Help compare the performance of a feature in different versions. Quickly identifying issues with a release through Amplitude has helped us immensely.
Crazy speed of queries. You can get great insight just in a couple of seconds.
The price is a little bit high for start ups.
Insights on users' journeys and when customers are hard activated.
