Smartsheet allows me to make detailed, adjustable project plans that are easy on the eyes and more importantly simple for customers to understand.
There can be duplicative work if Smartsheet doesn't integrate with company mandated PSA tools.
Smartsheet allows me to show critical dates to customers and the impact of delays or complications in the process. Using predecessors, I'm easily able to toggle between different dates to show how timelines may shift based on different factors.
Everything, with Smartsheet I've been able to follow up on projects, show information to our superiors, and collaborate with different teams across the company to get tasks done quickly
We're very pleased with Smartsheet, I think there is no issue at the moment we dislike, maybe some functions that are restricted (because of the plan we have), but would be a nice way to have those tools and maybe upgrade our plan

For our organization, Smartsheet has been the best product we've acquired. We use it for our different departments, creating specific sheets for the different areas. We have been able to apply the current templates and create new templates based on the needs of the organization. I have been able to create sheets for the lending department, the real estate department, and project-specific. We are able to filter the sheet to look for specific information. We love that the information automatically saves and we know who is the last person that updated the information. We also like the feature of being able to create online applications. The information is automatically filtered to our sheet. With this, we are able to verify who applied for our program. It also has the ability for customers to upload documents. We started using Smartsheet over 2 years ago and we are extremely pleased with the features it has provided.
At this time, we have honestly not seen any downfalls with Smartsheet. I would say that not all templates are created equal. Once you select one, you can verify if it fits with what you're looking for. For the most, many of the templates have been very helpful and give me ideas of what to create specifically for our organization. Also, not everyone is technology literate, so some people have challenges with learning the program. I can add that the trainings are very high tech.
Smartsheet has been very beneficial for our organization. It has optimized our business with forms and templates that have made us very successful. We are able to keep track of the different lines of business and see who has updated the information. Having said this, we are all accountable in one way or another. With Smartsheet we can see the updates the different departments have provided. Strategically, it has increased our productivity.
I enjoy the simple design as well as the user-friendly dashboards and menus. They really make it easy and simple to find your way through the system.
The formulas are a little difficult to master, but once you do things go a lot smoother.
It allows our company to keep a collective of all important spreadsheets and information all in one easy and accessible place.
It's very user friendly and intuitive. I was a new employee who's first task was to build a registration that had several different logic paths. I had never done something like this before but because smartsheet is so user friendly, I was able to build it out through trial and error quickly. Through the process I was able to learn a lot about using forms within sheets and now my team members come to me when they have questions! Also, if you have questions about smartsheets' capabilities, the customer team is very responsive and hugely helpful.
It's not so much a dislike but, there is a lot of potential still for smatsheet to grow its capabilities so I look forward to seeing how they do so and if they use the input given from customers.
It is making it possible to create forms and manage event registraitons through some automation which is extremely helpful because, if you set things up correctly, it makes it possible for you to work smarter, not harder.
Using Smartsheet's is easy and they provide training video's and templates that are easy to follow and make work efficient and save time. Love the dashboard templates!
Would like to see some templates for RACI's or Lessons Learned. Lack of tab functions and not be able to load large files without using DS.

The best thing about Smartsheet is ability to keep projects organized and to have collaborations with coleagues.
The downside of Smartsheer is that when someone in the group is making updates another cannot simulteneously also enter information.

For collaboration, this is an excellent tool. It keeps you from living in 'version hell' on working documents. The functionality is in some cases more than a general user might need, but it's there for complex projects. The automation is amazing!
Not being able to build a multi-tabbed document as you can in Excel. When gathering many data points for the same project but different topics/use cases, it would be great to have them all in a single document rather than using multiple SmartSheets.
The automation and collaboration allows a pre-defined workflow to keep all team members in the know. It facilitates communications between team members without sending a manual email.
Setting up sheets is easy an intuitive and the ability to create links between sheets to create interlinked projects is great. One feature that we have used is the ability to create dashboards to get larger views of progress and give stakeholders a greater understanding of current progress and any delivery risks.
Some basic formatting options are missing. Being able to controll the color and thickness of the grid lines would be a great feature to have. Reports are nice, but having to use the formatting from the sheet(s) it references can be a problem if there is not a consistent setup across any reference sheets.
Being able to have visibility of the entirety of a project and other tasks that are assigned to people, as well as utilizing the forms to allow people outside of our group to request work from us has greatly enabled us to provide updates and results to all of our various stakeholders.
The application is very user friendly and powerful to maintain and analyze data.
I wish it had table to table relationships.
Maintaing and anaylzing data
I love the options Smartsheet provides - whether you need to create a sheet for quick data collection or build a complex dashboard, you will find all the resources you need in one place. I love how comprehensive and easy to use the entire platform is.
The only thing I dislike about Smartsheet is the lack of movability of sheets into workspaces and vice versa. Otherwise, no complaints from me.
Smartsheet allows my team to collaborate on sheets in real time, no matter where we are working. Having up-to-date access to changes makes our team's work extremely successful.
I like that it is easily customized and you can make improvements without involving any specialized tech support

Realtime dashboards for production and quality reporting
When the systems are set up correctly it is a very powerful tool to move information to the places it needs to go. It has the feature set of excel while having the collaboration features similar to google sheets. The workspace features are especially helpful where you can build a file structure to organize your sheets.
It can be very finnicky at times. If there was an easier way to set up references that would be helpful. Also, pulling in more excel-like features would be helpful. For example, having XLOOKUP formula in smartsheets or having "Find/Replace" features would be helpful. Also, I think having template workspaces for different business workflows would be helpful instead of the current template folders that focus on only a specific type of sheet
Keeping our lead in the light on what is happening in the 40-50 projects we have going on in our region. Also standardizing how we manage projects to ensure information is where it needs to be on each project instead of scattered in different places. This has really helped push our team forward.
Smartsheet has allowed for streamlining processes, easier reporting and data analysis, and made our team more efficient.

Smartsheet has solved efficiency and productivity problems and allowed for streamlining of reporting.
I was a hard convert, Smartsheet was recommended to me by a peer, but I took a couple year to adopt it. I've been hooked on the product ever since; the sharing and collaborative capabilities make communicating and keeping the team(s) across multiple organizations up to date so much easier. I don't send a sinlge email, yet everyone on my team knows exactly what they are accountable for 24/7. A few years ago, there was talk of moving to a different platform, I offered that I would pay for the Smartsheet account personally if they would allow me to continue using it, but thankfully, that never became necessary!
I would like easier ways to aggragate the information across projects and across open item sheets. I would also like to see what changed on a sheet and what the value was previously. I would like to be able to enter a buget on a row and then be able to track change request revisions to that row and see the hostory over time.
Being able to connect multiple resources across multiple organizations on a singe project greatly streamlines my communication requirements and there are never misunderstandings becuase someone is looking a tthe wrong version of a plan. Dozens of emails are emliniated each week just by training the team to review their sheets.
My favorite thing about smartsheets is the forms feature. It is simple to set up a form by either setting up your columns or adding and dragging options in the manage forms tab. I personally use forms to collect attendance at events, concerns/feedback, and vacation requests.
The least helpful thing about smartsheet in my experience is I cannot easily copy and paste my data into an excel file. I can export, but sometimes I want to only take a portion. I've learned I can use my shortcut keys, but I can't simply right click to copy/paste.
For me, smartsheet's integration of filters, forms, collaboration and workflows solves the issue of easily identifying data collected through QR codes to a smartsheet form, sharing that data, and setting up workflows to instantly be notified of new data.
