Slack is the top choice for teams to communicate. It provides a virtual workspace that helps teams maintain open communication in a business environment. With Slack, users can host voice and video calls with up to 15 participants and even screen share with a desktop app, empowering better user interaction. Slack also supports options for private and group sessions, and one of its best features is Slack Huddles–an informal meeting space that lets you directly talk to your channel where you can share screen side by side with your team. The platform integrates well with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Trello as well.

Love the huddle feature, it's convenient when you just need to have a quick chat.
Not really a detractor since it's not often, however, it can be a little frustrating when there is downtime.
Slack makes it easy for distributed teams
I like slack the because it has very easy to use interface for daily messaging in business operations.
Some times it didn't works well on web browser, I faced lagging issues also.
Slack is great app as in my company, our whole team connects here, for business operations, creating internal channels, scheduling meetings, sharing documents etc.
Slack has been a life saver for my team of 4, who are all remote in separate locations across the US. We are able to stay in constant communication, share documents and plan around on going project better than ever before! Everything is so easy to find and you can keep your own separate notes and todo lists. Especially love the easy integration with other platforms making documents sharing better that any of the others.
There is nothing that we have ran into with Slack that we dislike... would be nice if it had a separate team calendar that could be shared within, rather than integrating to an existing platform like outlook or gmail.
Communication and in real-time... being able to talk with your team and get small questions resolved with little interruption to give us the ability to move our projects along in a streamlined and timely manner.
One of the first things that struck me about Slack was its user-friendly interface. From the moment you sign in, you'll find yourself navigating effortlessly through channels and direct messages. With the ability to create channels for specific topics, projects, or teams, you can ensure that conversations stay focused and relevant. You can also send direct messages, making one-on-one communication seamless.
At times, there can be some issues with functionality, such as the Threads section failing to update as unread even after you've read all the messages within. It would be greatly appreciated if this matter could be addressed or resolved in some manner.
Slack effectively addresses a significant challenge in internal communication for businesses, particularly for organizations operating remotely on a global scale. It boasts a wide array of valuable features, including quick huddles for calls, seamless file sharing, instant messaging, and much more.
Slack is easy to use software for connecting with team and different channels. Its searching feature for any questions/queries, in any channel i like most.
sometime for me audio does not work while connecting with people in calls.
I am using slack in my organization to connect with people via pings or calls. and its search feature is best for any kind of questions/queries to search in different channels.
Great way to keep communication within group members
status updates are manual, have not found a way to update my status at certain times of the day by default.having accessible and easy to find shortcuts for certain group chats is a problem for my usage
instant messages, quick feedbacks, send surveys to the group, uploading files and sharing
The native application works really smooth and has never been down. Very reliable and have zero memory of a down period or a major bug. Close to zero bugs in entire experience.
I am shocked to say very little but the Slack audio connection is not great and video call has always been very weak. I don't know how they haven't made this better.
Messaging between team members is important and we need to communicate often.
Slack is fantastic for communication. It has a lot of neat features (audio recording, Slack call, scheduled reminders) that really makes work life that much easier. It also integrates with many many other apps like Clickup, Landbot, etc. and does it well.
Not much I can think of. A lot of the options you have come from the admin so depending on your admin, you might see more or less flexiblity around things like creating channels or adding emojis. But that's not Slack's fault :)
I don't know how we communicated before Slack. I rarely check my email now but Slack is a constant companion in the bottom of my screen. I find it makes me more productive and aware of my tasks.
Integrations with other Work Platforms and Tools
Search function and categorizing is tedious and can be improved
The ability to create custom workflows using the Slack API has been revolutionary for efficiency and connecting channels. Overall productivity soared 50x with direct connection to web platform our business relies on to reach customers with marketing messaging
Efficient communication and organization through channels. Extensive integration options for improved workflow. Real-time collaboration and file sharing. Customization for personalized workspace. Robust search and archive features.

Slack offers real time chat and Collaboration tools which helps teams to connect and shre ideas and work efficiently and communicate with ease. Slack has user friendly UI that makes it easy to use. Slack offers easy option to not only chat but connect over video or voice call minimizing the need of a separate tool. Slack has the capability to integrate cloud tools such as drive and dropbox which makes it easier to transfer data smoothly.
Management of notification can hinder with your effectiveness of your work if not carefully managed. Cost of slack premium capabilities is significant while considering small size Businesses. some may find Slack UI a little difficult to learn and work with it.
Slack is helping us to create a collaborative environment at work even while some of us work from home. It reduces our dependencies on emails to connect with our peers from other teams. It also reduces dependence on seperate tools for voice or video call.
How easy it is to use, start channels and workspaces. I love that all your workspaces are together and you can spin up free ones to use between friends
Sometimes it's unclear how to leave or uninstall certain app channels
Having a single location, synced between my phone and computer, to facilitate all work and personal messaging. Plus it functions as a personal notepad for links
I love that it gives me the ability to contact others within my organization quickly even though I work from home. Sometimes a simple message works better and quicker than a phone call and especially faster than an email!`
I really don't have any misgivings in regard to this app. I wish more companies, organizations, and social clubs used this as a quick means of communication. I'm actually pleased with this app!
If there's a problem with Zoom, I'll use the video or call feature in slack. This app enables me to contact others within my company in a fast and efficient manner
The quickness of getting and recieving messages from anywhere is amazing. The video chat is a bonus, that is wonderful!
I honestly have none. The product is amazing.
There are none. Since I started using slack it has been wonderful.
Slack is an incredible tool, especially for us professionals who work from home. It speeds up communication with the team, makes interaction available during the circle to point to specific locations, is available to create restricted groups for personalized discussions, integrates with the agenda, the drive and also with my trailhead, which consequently brings me reminders activities related to my work and study.
So far I have nothing negative to say about Slack.
Mainly quick communication between teams. Mainly because it's a tool that I can have on hand wherever I am, even if I'm far from the computer.
Very fluid, and tons of opportunity to implement automation
The cost for licenses does seem a expensive
It's very easy to communicate with collegues
