While the cost has increased once over the last years I have been with them the cost is still better than most others. The support is always there and does an incredible job. The servers are fast and easy to work with and the sPanel saves a lot since it replaces cPanel and the huge cost of it
I'm having a difficult time thinking of anything that I dislike about Scalahosting, I guess the only thing that would make it better is if the prices were lower but that is the case with everywhere.
I moved to Scalahosting a long while back because the previous hosting company would not even talk to me about Cloudflare, which I use for multiple reasons. Scalahosting supports Cloudflare integration. They also provide their special sPanel that works just as well, if not better than cPanel, without the cost.
Incredible tech support! From my last web host, they have grown to the size where they outsourced their tech support and it went downhill from there. What took months to resolve or never got resolved Scalahosting resolved in 2 days!
Hmmm, the lack of the ability to edit the Mod Security but you can contact them and they will do it for you. The other small issue is the online HTML edit doesn't have a visual and code only. This is not a big deal because I use an editor on my laptop but it would be nice if I was out of town and had to work from another computer or even my phone.
Fast, good tech support. You can even pay extra to have them monitor your websites and take care of the problem before the customers notice. Another example is when I accidentally deleted a website and closed the account they were able to restore it within minutes.
I was with a website hosting company based in Europe that was always getting attacked by hackers. I found ScalaHosting and love them. Especially their tech support

Customer service is top. Hosting services and backups are prety good. I have a business website and I use CPanel. It's the easies way to adminster my services. I have everithing I need to manage my website.
Upgrades are sometimes difficult. My website is based on Drupal and I used to have difficulties upgrading my hosting plan.
Managed VPS is fantastic. I use it for years and I'm still happy with my VPS. Whatever problem occurs it's immediately resolved by the fabtastic customer support team.

I mostly appreciate the amazing support provided by SCALA Hosting. I can honestly say that I have never waiting longer than 30 minutes to have an issue resolved. I host quite a few of my web design customers with Scala and it gives me peace of mind knowing that support is always available and super fast. The server control panel (SPANEL) is clean and not full of bloat like you sometimes find with other hosts. All the essentials are provided and are easy to use. I am also very happy with the performance of my websites and the ability to quickly and easily scale up and down (CPU, RAM, etc).
The control panel (SPANEL) is not always perfect. I seem to experience small issues that I have to contact support for from time to time. These issues are not the end of the world and it would of course be possible to utlize cPanel, but I prefer to save the money from using the Scala control panel which is super fast and lightweight.
The ability to quickly and easily deploy super-fast websites for my clients. The scalability is very important to me because it allows me to increase resources as and when required. My business has grown exponentially since switing to Scala from Cloudways (no problem with Cloudways, I just find Scala more affordable and support is better in my opinion).
I purchased a yearly VPS plan from ScalaHosting just over two weeks ago, having had 10 years of experience with VPS hosting. Scalahostings commitment to customer service and most importantly - understaung the customer - WORKING with the customer on his or her unique case requirements (either technically or otherwise) is really what makes them stand out from the crowd. I've said it before - customer service is at the core of any customer facing business - and while most businesses these seem to have spiraled into a vicious cycle of "too busy to respond" customer service and "copied and pasted" service - Scalahosting is the polar opposite. In all my 2.5-3 years of working with them, I have not had one negative experience with them - either technically or customer service and thats saying a lot - really - how many companies these days can you say the same about? They truly go the extra mile and then some - I've had tech issues going on with a couple of my sites for years, and it was only after contacting Scalahosting and getting their balanced and technically correct opinion on things that I "finally" managed to resolve the issue (that was costing me a bomb in unwanted server costs etc on my last host). Their uptime is second to NONE - server speed, tech specs, all of it - all simply superb. From Angel on their customer service team to George and Valentino on the tech team - and everyone else - these are great people to work with, great HUMAN beings and that's what counts the most!

When I first moved to Scalahosting in 2020, it was literally like a breath of fresh air from my last host who was an utter nightmare as I discussed with their customer service director Peter. Literally my last web host was a company outside of the US where sites would go down for ages - data would disappear - and these guys wouldn't even know about their own site downtime etc! I had to switch when during one of these prolonged downtimes they "temporarily" pointed one of my biz domains to a web development company in India and claimed that was for debugging purposes - if you can believe that! At that point I Googled around found Scalahosting and that Google search is the best thing I ever did. They have solved all my hosting issues (reliable hosting with great and ever expanding, easy to use tech specs- great customer service) yes, but most importantly, I believe the real test of any such service is how often the client needs to login to their control panel etc to check on things (to make sure all is working on) - with Scalahosting I rarely, if ever need to do this - their services just simply work and are uber reliable at all times! Their advice has helped me solve several vexing issues with my websites - all biz sites - whether it be email provider advice, advice from a WordPress standpoint - over the years, thrut tech support has done more for me than other paid services have. And thats saying a heck of a lot - thank you again, Scalahosting!
Almost spontaneous online support from people who actually know how to support people who are struggling to learn and recover from newbie errors. Prices are very competitive. Transferring from another host and getting SSLs was a breeze. Subdomains included. No limit on email accounts. They have 10 day back up if you goof and don't have a working backup. They go beyond the call to help you figure out what could be causing a problem. And you don't have to request to speak with a manager to get an answer. The online documentation is well-written (no jargonese) and kept up to date, so you aren't wasting your time sorting through a bunch of old links. They perform scans for malware daily. And they are always gracious and cheerful! When I hear of people complaining about their ISP, I remember my former ISP hosts and understand their pain--and suggest then suggest they move to ScalaHosting!
Hmmm. The only thing I can think of is that I couldn't transfer my .life domain to ScalaHosting.
I use Joomla to host a website for a nonprofit. We don't have the funds to hire a pro, so I had to learn how to build a website, do backups, comply with privacy laws, and keep it secure. It's been hard and stressful, but at least I don't have to worry about my web host.
