Payroll. Productivity Monitoring. EmpMonitor Time tracker helps to manage projects, track work time & measure productivity. Cheap and Affordable. I think we should use this software because there is so many benefits like that remote working everything, everywhere. so its nice one an amazing and powerful. I just recommend that all companies will use this software and happy.
Hubstaff taken screen shot 2 or 5 minutes so very disturbance with work.
Solving my data record. timing record and attendance record.
The % of efficiency on the computer version, but on the other hand, if you are logged by your mobile phone, it gives you 0% efficiency, which's terrible.
Lots of exposure with screenshots; The location even when you're not working! This is the biggest nonsense, even when you're not working, if you have your cell phone, anyone in the organization can see your location. Mobile version efficiency rate. It's too bad that the efficiency rate is registered as 0 by the cell phone, it should be at least 50% if the app can't track.
With the efficiency and the timer, you can pay employees proportionally. But once again, employees who need to use the mobile version are handicapped as the app counts as a 0% efficiency rate.
I love the time tracking with screenshots for my virtual assistants.
I hate the scheduling app for my on-site employees. I can't update one of my employees time after the shift. As a manager, I should be able to update their time or it should be a setting that I can toggle. The mobile app is almost useless the only thing you can do is log time.
Making sure my
I like that this program helped us transfer from paper to digital timesheets.
It is a bit expensive per user. You also have to pay more for premium features. I also do not like that it does not integrate with Quickbooks Desktop.
Paper time.
On the surface, it ticks all the boxes. It's packed with tons of features that allow me to manage my team of remote subcontractors. I love having oversight over the work they do. I haven't seen any other offerings with the same amount of features.
The whole timesheets workflow is really frustrating. When I want to look at the hours my team has logged for the last 2 weeks (current pay period), I have to click Timesheets, then click Weekly, then change the default member, scroll to the right to write down the totals, write it down in a sticky note, and then go to the previous week and do it all over again. Then repeat the process for the next team member. I like the idea of approving a timesheet before remitting payment, but unapproved hours do not appear anywhere in the Payments section. So it provides an "oh shit" moment before I realize I need to go back to the Timesheets tab, find Approvals, etc... Finally, I use a personal TransferWise account (as a single member LLC this should be acceptable), and can't send payments to my contracts via your service. This means I have to just pay my contractors manually on TransferWise. So all of this timesheet approval stuff is just a formality as it's not making my job any easier.
Team management / oversight of remote employees. Sites like Upwork try to sell you on similar features, but you're locked into their pricing model and talent pool. This software opens up a ton of possibilities.
URL tracking is a great service, easy to add new members to projects. Great customer service when things go wrong.
The product can be faulty. One of my team members 'URL tracking' ability crashed for several days and I was not given any warning. We lost a lot of data which was damaging to the company. Hubstaff were unable to retrieve any of this data.
We are tracking our gross profit margin via tracking our time!
I like the screenshots taken when the employee is clocked in.
The time constraints when reviews hours worked. You cannot customize the time frame and can only select 7 days at a time.
Monitoring the integrity of virtual employees.
It's easy to check our activities. The plugin with Trello is very usefull. The web application is sexy.
I just want to have the time spent per project per month but it isn't possible ! Hubstaff is a time tracket but he can't do that simply !!! I have to change application to another, it's a pity.
Nothing.
It does what is says ont he box, barely.
It's not only overpriced, but it's a ripoff, i.e. if you want 2 team members you have to pay for 3. Also some very basic functionalities are not even in the basic paid plan.
making sure freelancer billing is fair.
As a product Hubstaff are doing a good job. The main functions are clear
Scam-like UX. No clear way to cancel your subscription or to see the payment receipts. This is disrespectful to their users and a very shady UX selection. When approaching their support team they show lack of basic customer-brand respect. Good luck with that.
Time Tracking
I'm so happy to move away from this service after 7 years of using it. I hated it every single day when I was a user.
Recently they got some critical issues. My time tracked from Friday and today (Monday) hasn't been uploaded at all and this thankfully enabled me to move away from this awful service. Not only this is a very dangerous piece of spyware for those who are being tracked it's also very buggy from times to times over the past years. About 6-7 years ago I left a comment why they send all activity like keystrokes, screenshots, URLs visited even when you don't enable the tracker client, but they simply deleted my comment without any clarifications. Two years further I followed up and they again deleted my comment without any clarification. They are super dishonest with their content. That's a pity seeing such evil tools to succeed. It's like Facebook in the time tracking tools world, they must be proud.
I believe employers solve their problems that they want to control the process instead of driving the results. This is phenomenal, but this is the truth. I never urged and never thought urging my contractors and employees to use such tools.
The day I can have them stop taking my money without permission.
I've asked over and over for them to stop charging me and cancel my subscription. They refuse. I fight every month to have them stop charging my credit card. I will be filing a petition with Washington State's attorney general's office for their business practice of not allowing me to cancel.
None.
At the moment I perceive no distinct advantages.
Having used another time tracker I'd say that Hubstaff does not track at least 20% of the time. If I run Clockify and Hubstaff at the same time, Clockify captures time worked as at least 20-30% more. Very often I find Hubstaff hanging and the clock timer stops and starts, bringing down the overall time. Also, the app only tracks keyboard and mouse activity. What about Skype calls or what about watching a designated training? I could be 100% involved in this but any calls or training videos or Zoom calls, all bring down productivity levels to percentages like 8 and 12!! Does that mean that unless you're presenting, you're not "actively" participating? These are major glitches that Hubstaff will need to correct, for it to find favour with employees. At the moment it just seems totally skewed!
None really. It's just added to the stress as it keeps stopping and I need to remember to go jiggle around and get the timer started again. It also does not take into consideration time spent browsing articles (necessary in my role as writer) and brings down activity levels. If there was a way to define the role and acceptable activities within Hubstaff for that particular role, it would be helpful. For instance a client call would get marked 20% activity level. A Zoom meeting is 12 %! Are these not part of the workday? Monitoring by on screen activity should also be incorporated to be fair to the employee.
Very meticulous tracking. Tracking mouse movement and KB activity per second.
I am penalized for inactivity just by proof-reading my articles. Why? Because there's no scrolling nor KB activity on my vertical monitor couple it with another 4k on the side. Do NOT evaluate an employee based on a specific segment or by a period of only a few hours.-- true, but in the end, how many employers interprets data based on inactivity over actual/physical movements=productivity One day, I might just develop a habit of fidgeting my scroll-wheel while I compose my articles. Just because-- Also, again, activity is metered per second. So someone who types 60 LETTERs per minute is less-productive compared to someone who types 60 word per minute, is he not?
Nope, Hubstaff alone seem to have caused my anxiety.
Seemed like great company with solid product at first. Was the first time tracking software I tried and liked their functionality.
Few major issues: 1) Don't offer great payroll options; for some reason they can't get integrated with paypal, payoneer requires 20k usd to be sent per month, and this other company bitwage is just sketchy and doesn't have their act together. 2) Dishonest pricing - rather than charge a flat price per seat, they say they need to charge based off minimum users. This really just inflates the actual cost per user. If they feel the need to charge more, just feel confident enough in your product to do so. 3) Extremely disappointing customer service. By the end of my time, I felt like they were some type of victim that I felt sorry for. A couple examples "If you have contacted them and have no response there is nothing we can do". Another time: "I do not know what you are asking for our thoughts on". I switched to TimeDoctor and the customer support was the opposite. First five minutes of chatting on intercom: "Let me find the right team member for you." Received a call in the next few minutes to personally onboard me with a screenshare.
Better time tracking of self and team as well as an automated payroll system for contractors.
Hubstaff made it easy to keep dibs on our contractors and employees activities. I enjoyed the ease of reporting that allowed me to pin point opportunities in our organization.
Our contractors and employee's really didn't care of the product. It was a bit clunky and as internet marketers, we do a lot of social media so our people were always getting docked for poor use of time. Additionally, our team thought it was very 'big brother' and caused quite a bit of shake up within our organization.
We realized quickly into the product that we did not need Hubstaff.com. Canceling was difficult, we went back and forth with the support team and months later, it was still active after maybe a year or so of no use. Hub staff.com refused to refund us. Because of that, there's no benefits I've realized.
