Best thing about the celenois is that it can perform multiple task and organization does not require multiple different tool, following are the features i like the most: - Task Process Mining - Machine Learning - Data visualization
Over all tool is excellent, However Ui can be improved and Visual loading in dashboards is taking longer time which is bit disappointing at time.
Tool is being used by multiple team and able to solve the following problem: - Task Mining and able to understand Automation opportunity - Machine Learning model and monitoring of model are easier - Dashboards and storytelling is intuitive and fantastic
Celonis helps to display complex processes in a transparent way. Especially the speed in identifyfing process paths which do not match with the defined process standards is outstanding. Furthermore Celonis gives you the ability to drill down from the whole data set, e.g. of 2 years, to a rather specific data set with just those showing the "friction" in a certain processes is extremly helpful. Especially the different abilities to filter through the data are very helpful. You can define specific process patterns and the set of cases fulfilling the restrictions will be generated. Based on that set single cases can be selected and examined in the ERP-System together with the assistance of Celonis. The ability to find a selection of cases meeting certain criteria and the ability to examine them very fast is a real driver for finding friction in processes. The graphical programming opportunity for the actual analysis is very helpful. It gives you the ability to modify existing tables very fast and helps to implement new components which address further analysis question easily.
The basic idea in Celonis is that you connect it to your ERP-System. Based on the actions taken place, this means that specific fields in the tables of your ERP-System has been addressed, Celonis builts up an activity table. That activity table is the backbone of the whole process mining model. So in fact you need very good skills in SQL in order to build up that acitvity table. If you could not provide those skills in-house you have to get them by deploying a consulting company, which provides them. Often this generates high costs. It is desirable that Celonis implements a more easy way, e.g. an graphical coding opportunity to build the required activity table. Especially for customers who have a highly customized ERP-/SAP-System this would give them the ability to build up the backbone of their data mining model on their own, which on the on hand side increases the understanding for the data mining model and on the other hand side save high costs in the implementation and validation phase.
Mostly we address the problem of generating process transparency. We feel that we have an enormous number of paths/ variants in order to get a specific thing done. Celonis is able to show this high number of paths. So we can identify rather disirable paths and non-disarble. The idea is that Celonis is used as a tool in order to ensure that we will take the easy and efficient way, which we have identified with Celoins, in the future to getting things done. Furthermore we want to use Celonis as an assistance tool, e.g. to ensure that we use all the available cash discounts. This will directly save us important money.

It takes a lot of effort and time to set up the process model properly. But once the model stands, you will quickly see results. In addition, it can be quiet hard to bring the tool in an operational use on a daily basis. Creating new roles within the organization and building up know-how can be difficult and requires strong support from the management. Therefore, Celonis is willing to help in the internal communication and does advise when it comes to setting up a process mining organization within a company.
We are analyzing the accounts payable process with Celonis to improve our productivity, cut costs and make sure that our processes are compliant with external and internal requirements.
Execution Apps- They are pre-built modules available in Celonis for various domanins like Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable etc. They allow us to deploy and customise solutions for any organisation. It allows us to benchmark ourselves with the industry leaders by tracking prebuilt KPI with set benchmarks. We could also define additional KPI's for the same. The apps actively monitors the various activities defined within the process and generates insights and action for users . This is powered by machine learning algorithms. This tranforms the way users operate from a reactive mode to a proactive mode.
I feel the Dashboarding, and the PQL is not very user-friendly. It is not as convenient as Power Bi, wherein you can establish a data relationship easily. and create dahsboards in a plug and play mode.
I primarily identify the Key KPI's that are required to be tracked and build dashboards for GIC's/GBS to monitor and track performance. Also, we use Celonis Execution apps on top of the existing workflow to generate insights and user actions. Also, we use Celonis to discover opportunities for automation and process improvement.
It not only indicates the outliers in the process but also provides a detailed root cause analysis which helps to remove the bottleneck
I don't see any downsides in the tool. The tool has been very planned and executed to cover almost alll the scenarios.
We face lot of challenges in our P2P proces. Delayed/late payments was one of them which led to bitter supplier experience. With Celonis, it was identified that the invoice which was not sent on time was one of the major reason and we were quickly able to address the issue

The Action Engine is fantastic. The time between defining the requirements of a new needed signal and going live is shockingly short. Then, the immediate positive impact on the business of being able to proactively and accurately identify issues represented in data, using a user-friendly interface to investigate and act on the occurrence, and the ability to document the process and results are impressive.
When several signals/alerts are raised by Celonis on a particular data set, the alerts/signals are static text vs. hyperlinks which would enable quicker navigation. Not having the ability to save heavily filtered views for future reuse is a time drain when starting a new work session.

Celonis allows you to easily identify, quantify and objectify the bottlenecks in any given process. Even for non advanced programmers, it is possible to get results fast. The Community and customer support are always available to answer questions and explore new ways to evolve and address any issues.
This is a difficult one. Probably one of Celonis greatest problems is how easily you can overcomplicate your analysis and loose focus, depending on your company's organization and hierarchy's. So, one simple advice would be, if you feel your analysis are getting to complicated, stop, go back to basics, back to the drawing board, and try to follow the success examples of other companies in implementing Celonis.
Main focus as been: - Credit Recovery process (broad-spectrum intervention with the aim of optimizing the process E2E) - Credit Decision (identifying bottlenecks and gains with RPA and other improvement opportunities) - Costumer Experience (global analysis) In terms of benefits, we've been able to provide real-time data that wasn't available. We also were able to identify bottlenecks (that are being addressed) and quantify how much the activities in the processes we are analyzing cost and how much we can "win" with some simple otimizations.

It's not a dislike, but a challenge is positioning the tool within the organization. This is where significant time and effort can be lost. However, Celonis seems to be investing in guiding customers in that matter more and more and is building up new consulting teams like the BVA.
We are working on master data quality e.g. payment terms across business units, connection between departments in P2P and AP space, monitor and alert for compliance use cases and optimizing Finance processes in AR and AP.
Once enabled, the Celonis process mapping technology allows for visualizing detailed process flows, identification of key bottlenecks, and KPI creation. It would have taken a team of experts multiple weeks to outline the top value streams for a process such as Order to Cash, and we still would not have had the residence time in each step. Celonis does it all.
Any customization of your ERP system will require additional tables to be pulled and integrated into the process being mapped; a true mapping of a process will take considerably more time for those with heavy ERP customization.
We didn't know what we didn't know about our O2C and AR processes, so the first benefit was understanding the complexity of these initial processes. We quickly identified and have realized value in AR on unearned early payment discounts and supplier financing opportunities. Within O2C, we are pursuing opportunities identified around order blocks and holds to reduce the overall O2C cycle.
Celonis ability to visualize the entire process flow and show hidden inefficiencies underlying within various data sets is absolutely amazing. Its a next gen tool to not only uncover potential friction points but also helps in generating insights to drive improvements.

Celonis is enabling us to drive multiple transformation initiatives in different streams and across industries. Attaining full transparency around underlying processes have resulted in optimizing efficiency and improved customer experience.
I really enjoy the process mining experience by "playing" with the process/variant explorer. I can drill down to such a detailed level so that the customer is convinced and at the same time impressed by the power of the tool. Procurement is back as a major player in P2P, thanks to Celonis.
I would like to see more PQL formulas available and faster processing times for complex calculations in front end.

a) Process explorer is a great idea to see your waste of the processes b) Process around the software. It is not only making the improvement, it's more about how we can find improvement, change the process and monitor the weakness point. I like the improvement cycle c) Process automation: it is a again a nice and important feature, which is allowed us to aware of the issue on time and be able to simplify the processes. d) Customer success manager: a good service to think with the customer and give support as much as possible to the customer in order to be able to create success together.

User friendly front end, ease of use and navigation. We were able to deploy the solution with ease. Lots of functionalities and ability to connect to various IT systems makes it a very powerful tool. We get an end to end visibility of the entire process which very unique and no other technology has the ability to show a clear picture of the process this way. Once we have the data model set up for a process, we can just play around with different KPIs and start to analyze the process through various dimensions.
The app store could have been more helpful to give a process selection guidelines.
1. We have pointed out huge compliance issues in one of our biggest process - Purchase to Pay. We have defined specific KPIs to monitor and control those going forward. 2. Cash Management - bridging the gaps between the operational and financial world. We have been working on identifying cash recoveries for the company using Celonis.

transparency during E2E processes i created conformance checks over all our process models with python and was able to identify the best performing and least performing processes which i have to adjust.
