I like the Chrome extension which generates affiliate links quickly and easily across Awin advertisers. I use it specifically for Etsy products so it makes it so smooth to use it on-page. Also, the payment has always been timely, and I like that you can manage multiple vendors from your home screen. The comparative earnings analytics is helpful as well.
I don't find their dashboard to be intuitive. I always have to figure it out again each time I log in, in order to get to my correct merchant and the earnings information I want. I find some of their participating affiliates obscure and have only found Etsy and 1-2 others that fit my offerings.
I use it mainly to participate in the Etsy affiliate program, recommending specific products to my readers online. While it is not a huge portion of my income, it definitely enables me to monetize gift guides around the holiday season. I also have used it to browse their affiliate directory and brainstorm other affiliate partnerships.
AWIN has the biggest and most successful affiliates on the platform so you really need to work with AWIN to make your affiliate marketing activity a success. We use AWIN everyday and it has been the backbone of our affiliate marketing campaign for well over a year now. It has a number of useful features that we use, including the reporting.
The platform is clunky and not all that easy to use, it feels very out of date, and the customer service is hit and miss. We use AWIN everyday and it has been the backbone of our affiliate marketing campaign for well over a year now. In that time we've had issues with the implementation and commission structure, and we had to complain heavily about the lack of support from our dedicated person at AWIN before being moved to a new advisor who is much for efficient and useful for what we need. If you are on shopify the integration is not that easy to use.
We needed to widen the range of marketing we did for our brand, and AWIN provided a solution for our affiliate marketing.
I like how clean the portal is, very intuitive. So easy to onboard, upload company info and start inviting affiliates.
The one thing I don't like is that we can't send out mass emails promoting weekly promos like we can on SAS.
It's automatic letting affiliates promote our products.
The database. Since Awin is very well known, several new publishers find our program through the platform. Also we can reach out to new publishers as well. The toolbox is overall my favourite tab - very intuitive. Didn't use the reporting as much, so not sure how thorough it is.
At the beginning of our partnership, we didn't have an account manager that provided benchmarks and best practices (we do now, and she is excellent). I also recommend adding a way to personalise the communication to publishers when their commission is changed. Also, I feel the platform is not friendly for affiliation with influencers.
Automatize our Affiliate Marketing program and expand our brand presence
- Great support team - A large number of national and international platforms - Reasonable fee structure for Awin Access
- Search function can be quite hard to navigate - Affiliate reccomendations could be better
It has helped grow the presence and sales for a number of clients for ourselves from multinational ecommerce entities to a small business focusing on home products.
Everything is in one place. I do not have to spend time searching for what I am looking for. I can get a job done effectively and efficiently with just a few clicks.
There are not many things I dislike about Awin. All the platforms are clearly listed within the same platform which makes my job easier as i do not have to keep switching dashboards.
We are able to track how much money the business is spending on affiliates. This helps us manage internal expectations, budgets and all future marketing campaigns.
Reliable dashboard and easy to use features. I find the Awin dashboard extremely easy to use compared to other networks for reporting especially however validations, newsletters & contacting new publishers also very easy.
One feature I would like to see is an option to filter approved/pending/rejected transactions on a publisher performance report. Sometimes when pulling data the total amount is just (approved + pending) while rejected isn't incorporated into the total amount which has confused junior team members. This is sometimes unhelpful when you're looking at YoY comparisons.
Clear reporting while new partners feature easy to use, we contact new publishers regularly for our clients. Also, account management sends over new opportunities monthly, which we look into and feed back to our clients.
Simplicity - No frills, easy to use and very intuitive
nothing really, works well without issues
bridging the gap between affiliates and retailers
I think AWIN is a really great platform and I think the reporting tool is really useful when comparing the data month by month.
Something that would be useful is the ability to see performance data around creatives and offers. To see which were clicked on most etc
Awin makes the process of working with affiliates a lot easier and smoother.
The platform dashboard and ease of use, being able to search easily for new publishers in the platform and adding/inviting them to our program, much more organised and easily categorised compared to SAS.
Working on both SAS and Awin, means there are some elements of the SAS platform that I prefer using over Awin, such as the in-depth reporting and info you can get on each publisher in SAS compared to Awin.
Onboarding and growing the UK affiliate program with limited resources and time, and having everything centralised in one place, in terms of commissions, revenue and overall performance.
The account management team are lovely and the senior peirs of them teams are supper knowledgable. Reporting is easy
The Wiki is developed purely from a Tech Pov and can be very challenging for larger companies that do not have a direct link with the development team. Some of the functions are extremely restrictive and access needs to be requested.
Help support our affiliate channel growth.
Huge network which is easy to use. Account managers are helpful and always try their best to support and improve the programme. Lots of reporting options which is great!
There's multiple ways to access the same thing which can sometimes be confusing. Staff work 4 day weeks so sometimes things can be missed or take slightly longer.
Finding and collaborating with upcoming and new publishers we wouldn't have thought of otherwise, as the network is so diverse. This enables us to reach new audiences.
Popularity with affiliates, clear reporting, simple structure.
Can be slow on Monday mornings. I would prefer to be able to delete creative.
It's a very simple to use platform which we get for a good price that does not prohibit our growth.
It's great for finding new offers! There is so much you can try.
I am yet to find a downside, but once I do will feedback.
I am looking for new offers to test and awin helps me do that!
The awin program is really easy to set up and out of the box allows you to quickly expand your portfolio and to increase additional revenue.
I currently dont have any dislikes with the service provided by awins
Its providing us with an additonal revenue stream whilst increasing awareness of our brand.
Finding publishers from everywhere and automatise the collaboration
Some analysis could be improved to offer more insights
good conversion rate
Awin is easy to use even for newbies or smaller brands.
The UI could be a little more user-friendly, but it works, nevertheless.
The team often reach out with new ways of identifying new connections.
I have been using the AWIN affiliate network for quite some time and the best thing about it is that they have lots of campaigns to choose from, from various countries, like the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, etc. Also, you can contact the advertisers directly for fast approval.
The AWIN affiliate network requires a 1 GBP sign up fee which I dislike because other affiliate networks don't ask for any fee for an account sign up, they offer it for free.
As AWIN's campaigns database is big, we can earn good commissions from their programs. We are currently using their programs for the UK region. Their tracking system is good as it shows sales in real time.
I like the filter search of the programs that they have. It's a very intuitive platform and you get handy all information needed to succeed. Once you are in, you start providing all the information about your website, but you can add as many websites as you want on the same account. Also, they recently added the choice to be paid through Payoneer which makes it very useful for many freelancers or bloggers. Awin is a platform that has been made for affiliate marketers, is a good option as long as your desirable company uses it in order to look for partnerships. But, remember that every platform is different and the rate for earning may be different too.
You have to pay a 5$ fee to get into the platform and you will get the fee back once you cash out but It can take a while to make it. Another thing I have to say is that the customer service isn't great. It can take a long time in order that someone can answer your questions so, I would suggest looking first at the answers on the faqs or in related blogs that talk about the common issues it may appear.
Awin has allowed me to be upfront with many possible companies looking for partnerships. Awin let me see my stats, clicks, converting rates of all the people that come to my website. If you are interested in Awin check first if the company you would like to work with is in there or at least check out which companies are useful for your blog or business at Awin before getting in.
The platform's tracking and tech is solid as is the access to publishers. They deal with payments expediantly and the commercials are reasonably palatable. Would always recommend them due to being established in the market.
Not amazing account management but that's mainly due to being on the self serve problem. Mild concern about the performance of certain publishers sending such high volumes of traffic that doesn't convert and the origin.
Provides access to a wide range of publishers rather than having to deal with billing, reporting and tracking of partners individually which is not worth it for the overhead.
