Softr was simple to get connected to my Google Spreadsheets and the drag-and-drop editor made showing the information simple and intuitive. I was also able to make some things public and other items only viewable by logged-in users.
We have had some issues with the connectivity between our data stored in Google Sheets and the Web App. We are not sure what side the issues came from. However, the support team was quick to respond and escalate the issue even for a free account.
We had a need to let our affiliate leaders update our contact database with all of their annual updates. We have been using shared Google sheets, letting them update their individual information then needing to bring all the data back together into one sheet. Softr allows us to build a web app where they can update their data all while keeping the data in a central single spreadsheet for us.
It is really easy to use, and when you need clarifications the customer service is great in helping you. Easy integrable with several platforms to have better user experience or analystics
Still rough, there is no great selection of blocks so after making several pages you are just re shuffling the same elements to have some diversificatin, but they should have more blocks
Need of a fast and effective development for an idea we want to validate. We made it up in little time and it has a good impact on external customer opinion on our idea
I understood the way it worked fairly fast - I was actually surprised that I could publish something that worked after just a few hours. I watched some tutorials and that was it. The logic is very good, so once you've built a little bit, it's easy to replicate with other ideas. I highly recommend it - the features are numerous and they are constantly updating their tools.
At first I didn't like the layout and the colors, it got a little getting used to. The screens had a lot on them, but one you get over that first impression and get your bearings, it was fine.
Not having to go through a long and expensive process to test some website ideas. I've been able to already publish and fine-tune some online applications. I will use someone specialized from now on but will continue to use Softr - because it enables me to speak the same language.
The building block approach makes a ton of sense, allowing a non-coder like me to create something really useful. By leveraging AirTable for resources you can cobble together a real live SaaS offering in a day or two. Incredible!
There is a learning curve involved, especially if you want to use the Softr templates. You need to understand the relationship between fields and bases pretty well. It took me about 4 hours to figure it out.
We need to publish resources available to 3 different user groups. Each group has a unique set of needs and I was able to model everything in one base. Softr allowed me to publish a whole bunch of very specific pages for various stakeholders in each group.
About two years ago, we decided to implement Airtable for our small business needs. We are a job placement agency in the wind energy market, and our business relies on many interrelated sets of data. As the main data structure developer using Airtable in our company, I came to the conclusion that accessing data through views in Airtable was becoming too complicated for new employees. We are currently migrating the Airtable backend to a frontend platform called Softr, which has intuitive software and really great features. I am currently creating a connected platform for our subcontractors, clients, and office employees. I think I have already explored most of the platform's capabilities and have concluded that it will be a good decision. Ah, and one more thing: the support is one of the best in the world. It's super responsive, and everyone is very helpful and insightful.
1. Lack of consistent management of the website's styling. There is no ability to copy styles from one object to another. However, I am optimistic, given the progress made in this area by the Softr team since last year. 2. Inability to override page width settings for a single page. What if I wanted to use an Airtable iframe to present data on a specific page? I would like the data to occupy most of the page, but the small window forces users to scroll. It is even worse for someone working on a 21:9 screen. 3. The documentation is sometimes unclear, and finding answers to more complicated problems can be problematic. Fortunately, your support has never let us down
1. Supervision over the work of office employees. 2. Automation of new potential candidates' resumes. 3. Reduction of working time on our telephone consultancy line. 4. Transparency and greater control over data access and editing.
I have a problem, in a few minutes Softr's team give me the solution (or an answer). I love that ! The product is very intuitive, smart, there is a lots of tutorials and documentation, that's really important.
Some options can be limited sometimes, and to do what I need I would need to have the best plan but my startup doesn't have enough money today. It would be great to have plans for startups !
the member access is the key feature for my product, and visualisation. We have a marketplace between hotels and artists, and it was too complicated to just manage it on airtable, values were false after a few month. We needed the artists to update their profile and softr is a really great solution.
I like almost everything about softr. Few things yet to improved but Overall good start
Nothing as of now softr gives me good experiece
I have fast release I am solving that problem
I like how simple it becomes to create lists and display data from Airtable. Also, the community is helpful when we need to find answers quickly.
I want a better vision of when the features in development will be released. Apart from that, I don't dislike anything.
Softr is helping me launch an MVP in the most affordable and fastest way possible. I could not have done it without Softr.
Softr provides the ability to quickly piece together an application in about the time it takes you to watch the Youtube tutorial of other no-code providers. It's fast, comes packed with lots of starting templates but best of all it comes loaded with pre-built components that actually contain content. I put together a web application in under an hour and had it up and running for my use case.
There are a few limitations of functionality and design, but in the short time that I have been using it they have added continual updates and improvements to make the experience better. No clear ETA on some of the features/functionality that I've requested, but that's pretty common with tech companies.
I wanted a way to quickly prototype an idea that I had that required interaction between internal staff and external clients through a web portal. The ease of use of the system allowed me to quickly piece it together, and not make it look like someone from kindergarten had made this. Clean, professional, and one of the simplest no-code solutions that I have come across, and I have tried multiple in order to find one that was right for me.
The simple way to do websites and plataform, the nice layout and integration with the best plataform in the world
More data sources and more integration using pluga our zapier
My webpages and plataforms change complete after a start using Softr
The Softr team is helpful and willing to help around the clock. It is also quite quick and innovative to add new features. It allows one to make a beautiful and effective website or platform (especially when partnered with Airtable) without needing a lot of code. When you give feedback, it is often added to the feature request roadmap.
The customisability of blocks can at times be limited, and if one wants to design a platform with a more complicated UI/UX custom code will likely be needed. This is especially true when it comes to dynamic blocks, and that means if you want to deploy Softr for your team and have a UI/UX designer, they may need to start by acquainting themselves with the platform and what is possible without code.
It allows businesses to quicker create websites and online platforms without needing a programmer, or taking time to code. It allows for easy integration between a company's Airtable or Google sheets with their websites. It provides a lot more customisability than other website building tools (like weebly), and more business functionality too.
for fast deployment of simple webapp. outstanding and secure account/user management for portals.
a bit too simple yeT. but they are continuously developping.
best no code web app builder. just a bit young
I love the easy-to-use interface, highly responsive, and they constantly update and add the latest and most relevant features to create the best web and mobile apps. They recently added AI features which take the whole experience to an entirely new level.
I use it to turn my ideas into actual apps and online businesses, and so far, it hasn't let me down, and I would be lying to say otherwise. I need a faster computer because sometimes I lose my work and am forced to reload a page.
It allows business owners and aspiring solopreneurs to visualise their ideas, create and design an interface for users to interact with and experience, and provide input and feedback to help reach a business goal or satisfy a use case.
Easy to use, super low code. Especially when you have a pro account in Airtable adding editors can be expensive. Softr can help build great internal tools while reducing the need for editor licenses in Airtable
lack of documentation on the custom code block Need a few more features, like pushing list details to an external webhook Need more features on the form like prefill more fields and looking up
Building great internal tools that look good with functionality and above all being able to dynamically get your data from a table into a website making it easy for the organisation
It's quick to learn and has a number of nice looking templates with corresponding airtable bases that can be tweaked for your own purposes.
It's inability to design or manipulate components.
When I want to quickly prototype a concept, I can find a template and bring the idea to life.
Easy-to-use, simple to handle, very very reactive support team and constantly evolving.
Something are not that obvious to understand as it relies a lot on Airtable.
Quick deployment of solutions, and ability to create secure and user friendly web apps.
Using the no-code platform Softr our foundation that represents donors' interests, can share information about the self-regulated non-profit sector in The Netherlands. Besides knowledge sharing using online content on a website, Softr has integrations with Airtable and Google Sheets. This allows us to share and let visitors search data about non-profits. Based on open data shared by the Dutch tax office we are able to let visitors, donors and people interested in the non-profit sector search and find info about 50.000+ charities in the Netherlands. We don't need to setup hosting or databases at all. All is taking care of by Softr.
Backup of your online content data within Softr is impossible, so if Softr is down, you can't get to your online content for what reason. A backup of your content as a download solution in any form would be appreciated in the future. Due to improvements to the Softr solution, sometimes so-called blocks on a webpage have to be updated to a new version. These updates to blocks are sometimes not automatic, so you need to create the same block again which can take time to have the latest block updates on your website.
Softr helped our foundation with a head start starting to represent donors' interests in The Netherlands by having our website up and running in minutes. Besides this, we investigated mandatory fields that needed to be filled in by donors willing to donate onetime to charities in The Netherlands. The results we put in an Airtable online database. Softr made it possible to show the results from the investigation regarding privacy during donating on the website using the Airtable integration. We can offer all charity records using search filtering etc. Donors can see what privacy they need to fill in mandatory for giving away donated money for free. Does helping them to decide that they are willing to share all privacy data before giving money to a charity yes/no.
I can have many more people in our organization help update our airtable database without worrying about them getting confused with the backend, which can get very overwhelming for most ordinary folks! It is also INCREDIBLY fast to configure and whip up pages. I really appreciate not having to spend unnecessary time fussing with that part.
It's a bit newer of a product, so there are limitations in the customizability. I know they are working to improve the editing functionality, so that will help. At the moment, you can't control which fields are presented to a user who needs to be able to edit several fields. For an end user, I would like to show them the field I want them to focus on editing on that specific interface, not all the fields they need editing permissions for. So in that sense, it is a bit limited for the time being. My organization wants to use it to manage tasks and projects as well, which will be hard to configure to be as easy to edit and use as say, basecamp. There are still several clicks involved to edit something.
Softr has solved the "overwhelming" issue that we have from building large databases in airtable. Average users do not like that amount of information, but we have to keep it somewhere, especially to be able to configure automations and formulas. So softr has been really helpful to surface *just* the information a teammate would need in order to get their work done. THE COST is the biggest reason for our organization approving it. Airtable is just absurdly expensive for even limited editing rights. It's cost prohibitive, really.
The ability to build internal and external apps with no coding experience is really valuable. The Airtable integration is seamless, which means you can be up and running in hours, managing content is as easy as managing a fancy spreadsheet.
Select boxes were the only things that did not work for us during our testing. What I mean by this is that table rows restricted to a specific logged-in user that featured select options did not restrict selection based on that logged-in users attribute (their company email domain. The only way around this was to manually create one table per company in Softr and show/hide these conditionally. This is not viable with a large number of companies so we considered a different solution which did enable this.
Softr makes is easy to rapidly build a PoC, ensure it works with users and then get the investment required to deploy something more bespoke.
The fact you can build websites, landing pages and even more complex solutions without coding is amazing. The components really make the process very easy and fast which saves you a lot of time while building with Softr. It is very easy to learn and get started.
It is still in development and early stage, so if you compare it to other no-code tools, there are features that it doesn't have, so you can't yet build very complex solutions, but it is a great tool to get started with since the learning curve is very low. It could also have more flexibility to change and customize layouts and components, and more components too.
Building software with no-coding skills, internal tools, landing pages and websites for products and lead capture.
