Outside of being an incredibly versatile platform that has an incredible range of use cases across our business, Softr has one of the best customer service teams I've ever come across. Always on hand to support with anything in a matter of minutes, this team are incredibly attentive, friendly and versatile. I also love that you can book in a call to discuss things in more detail. I am a Softr megafan!
As you'd expect with a platform that has endless use-cases, there are still some areas that you can't do everything you'd like to. I'm excited to see where the use grows.

When I discovered Softr, through a Youtube video, I instantly started trying it. At first, I had to get used to how database linking works. After you know that, you become a power user in less than a day. I couldn't be anymore thankful for a tool like this that has fulfilled my dream of creating my very own functional software platform.
I do wish there was less lack of features. Pricing is expensive as their first tiered plan starts at $49/mo billed yearly. Their support team is great, but response times are usually casual, and not proficient. This is something I would like to see improvement on their response times even though I understand there are timezone differences.
Softr is solving the tedious process of developing a functional software platform with code. By using Softr, we are saving tons of time which helps us perform the important tasks first.
Very easy and intuitive to use, you can create a website in a few minutes ! The chat is very quick to repond if you have any question. Also, there's a free version to publish your website.

Softr is a game-changer for anyone who's ever wanted to build an app but doesn't have thousands to spend on dev. It's easy to learn and even easier to use, and out of the box comes with just about everything you need to build a web app in a matter of days. That includes everything from lists and detail pages to graphs, charts, and forms. I've used it for internal tools, user-facing websites, and more, and I've rarely been disappointed. And while Softr also comes pre-built with a fair amount of customization options (font, colors, spacing, size, etc.), if you know a bit of HTML and CSS, you can customize your app even further. The internal team is also super solid. They ship updates and feature improvements regularly, and are very receptive to feedback.
While the Softr team is genuinely fantastic, there have been a couple of instances where they've deprioritized feature requests without really communicating it up front. It's only recently that we've gotten news about the conditional forms update, and that's been on the docket for over a year.

Its prebuilt templates and blocks have saved us hundreds of hours of work, which lets us focus on building, shipping, and marketing, rather than on trying to center divs and set up infrastructure.

The learning curve was very low. I was able to build an internal portal for staff in a matter of days, easily and magically connecting Airtable data. Their support team is amazing. They are active on the forum and extremely responsive to all requests, easily addressing and fixing issues, or solving problems.
With a new platform, there is a lot of quick growth and requests to satisfy, the growing pains are there, and although they are very responsive and have an amazing support team, some feature updates are not fully-baked when released, but they are constantly updating and adding features. It might be hard for very complex dynamic build-outs.
It launched us into the next phase of single source truth, transparent access, and breaking down silos to information. It also enabled us to give controlled access to updating Airtable data that was not as friendly or affordable in Airtable. It helped to add a simple and easily adoptable solution to a large, complex data set that is growing.
I am in the process of setting up my platform with Softr. Although much of the design is intuitive, I've had a few minor issues filtering data. This is where Softr's great support has helped me. Andranik took a lot of time for me and helped me over several days to configure everything the way I wanted it. It is not a matter of course that a support team cares so much about its users, and it is certainly not the case everywhere. A really great team you have there, Softr!
For people who don't have much experience with Airtable, it is a bit complicated to prepare the data so that it finally appears in Softr the way you want it. However, the learning curve is not that steep, so this is not an issue.
With Softr, I can quickly implement and test exciting business ideas even without programming knowledge. In addition, the UI and UX comes across as extremely clean and understandable, which is important to me.

Allowed us to create an MVP that looks good and test our product quickly. It is the simplest way to build a marketplace at the moment and a great entry to the no-code tools. Their block templates are usually well-designed and should work for most cases. They do seem to be improving the product fast and I hope we will be able to grow with them. I also liked that they use the power and simplicity of Airtable for all things database.
There are some limitations no the design part and finding workarounds is sometimes time-consuming. The limitations can sometimes be overcome by adding some custom code, but this requires some coding knowledge and defeats the purpose of a no-code tool. I wasn't able to find ways to integrate APIs, this would open an entirely new world of possibilities. There is also currently no way to add action buttons (i.e. a "like" button), but they say they are releasing them soon.
Softr has a very small learning curve (compared to other no-code builders like Bubble or Webflow) to create a well-designed marketplace or other types of database-reliant platforms. We were able to create a prototype and test it really quickly without any coding knowledge. This saved us a bunch of time and money.

- the navigation within Softr Studio is a bit tiresome, too many clicks to change pages - some blocks are more customizable than others, although you could always remedy this by using custom code - there is no undo button - while you make quick changes

Not being able tp change form types once selected. Some lack of formatting for some fields. Lack of custom code or text block within FORM block to add additional info to users when submitting forms.
Softr is solving our organizational problems by restricting access to fields of information based on roles & permission settings. It has become a hub for us to communicate with users and for users to receive intuitive feedback from the site.
Softr allows you to very quickly launch a site built on top of Airtable as a database. Really great for marketplaces, directory sites and a lot of other types of web sites. Super easy to use with a lot of rich data-oriented features.
Limited control over design elements. No blog feature so adding blogs to your site is either very manual or you can use Airtable but you lose SEO features like alt-tags. If there was much stronger design control (e.g. like Webflow) it would be killer.
Quickly launch a directory/marketplace site with a lot of functionality for very little effort. Speed and out-of-the-box features make this a winner.

The forms do not support entering numbers. Updating Airtable is a bit rudimentary. Can't change the edit button. Cant rename fields. Permissions can be better

I have gone from knowing not much about developing a web portal, to learning a LOT and liking it! The support team has been great when we have needed help! Its heads over tails better than other options we have tried.
It loads a little slowly, and when you have to reset a linked source you have to reconnect all connected items, but otherwise, it has been pretty user friendly.
We need a client portal that works for both clients and client coordinators. We're almost ready to launch and there are always going to be last minute issues, but I see us ready to launch very soon.
