very easy to use features, easy to edit and build campaigns to suit my brand. I have no coding experience so i find omnisend very easy to navigate. It was easy to switch from mailchimps as well, which was something i worried about when switching over. but i feel as though i definitely made the right decision switching as omnisend offers a lot more interactive features for me and my customers. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quick it was to get it all set up. the billing is fairly straightforward as well and i was lucky enough to get a discount offer when switching over from mailchimp. overall i would definitely recommend omnisend to other small businesses looking to set up a newsletter.
the prices seem a bit high considering that i don't send many emails. i wish there was an option for people with 4000+ signups that post infrequently. i don't have the time or inclination to send out more campaigns so i don't feel as though i really get my money's worth for the price.
boosting email campaigns has been very useful, i also like the spin to win feature and scratch card feature. good analytics and campaign info, easy to check on sales from campaigns and good shopify integration.
Omnisend is cost-effective, it is one of those email service which is priced really nicely. And at top of all, it has the best customer support team in the universe, so prompt that it is unbelievable. Their follow up is something I would like to adopt myself for my eCommerce customers. Intercom being their chat support app is again a good thing to have. Even for the smallest of problems, the follow up and emails are on point. Very good emailing service for starters
Very poor colour scheme, limited features, as compared to Klaviyo and Mail Chimp, very basic templates, the UI needs a lot of improvement. Option to make customer opt for weekly, daily etc emails in marketing should be given as an option. More functionality in Live View is required. More options to edit in the email content creation needs to be done. A lot of feedback has been given already via chat to their customer care executives already. Also, system has glitches which are still unresolved and the team needs to fix that too. Database update is poor, suppose I change information in Shopify, it makes a new customer here, and there is no back sync of data between Omnisend and Shopify which needs to be fixed. Automation service needs to be improved
I have sorted out my customer base with their advanced segmentation tools which is amazing. Abandoned cart series, welcome email series, campaigns: they are all nicely managed with Omnisend. One good thing is their live view feature which gives a lot of insight about what customer is seeing
Easy to use with simple, straightforward templates that still have the flexibility to change to your own liking. Cost is also affordable and worth the all-around benefits and options Omnisend provides.
I'd like to see more template options that incorporate text movement because it seems like a trend that subscribers react well to, but other than that I really enjoy Omnisend and its options alongside the analytics page that gives real-time feedback of the success of your campaigns and/or flows.
I don't have any issues with Omnisend and I've noticed what you're getting for the cost of each package and how this far outweighs what other email marketing brands tend to offer. Omnisend also integrates easily to my Shopify store which makes everything feel more cohesive and makes the management aspect easier.
I find the entire experience more professional, it's easy to use and I feel has raised our customer experience. I like too that it offers more options such as scratch cards and so on which makes it a bit fun for our customers too. I also like that you send booster mails. I very much enjoy the reporting and being able to group our customers.
The cost - it is very expensive for us (South Africa). Other than that there is not much to not like. I would like to be able to adjust the time of the booster mails.
We mainly use it for our newsletters and I feel they have a far more polished, professional look and also it is easy to use and implement. It makes communicating with our customers much easier and also improves our brand value.
I built up an email list before starting a mailing service, first i used mailchimp, then after researching which would be best for my needs as email services differ in how they bill, per contact/per email, ect. The templates Omnisends provides are pretty professional looking and easy to customize, one thing that also really captured my interest in its integration with websites like shopify. It provides forms for email capture as well as a small non-invasive teaser discount bubble on the bottom.
I feel the anaulitics arnt as easy to read as mailchimp, but they all provide basicly the same information so in my experince its a matter of adujsting. I do wish the teaser discount percent was more customizable, it only allows 5%, 10%, 15%
Its allowing me to let customers know of new products, and when sells end. It also is providing a very low bounce rate, so this is increaseing the effectiveness of the campaign by a meaningful percentage in my opinion.
Easy access for great app also for small to medium-sized businesses. No extra costs or hidden fees. Trustworthy app with fast customer support.
Too little free templates. It is also difficult to edit the design. The premium subscription is a bit expensive if using only for one or two purposes.
Email marketing looks very professional and is easy to use. A great option even for smaller companies with very easy access and great value for money.
The fact that the tool is easy to use and is designed to help you achieve your goals with a good share of built-in workflows that you are advertised to set up in order to gain the most out of this software. Their customer support is knowledgeable and available 24/7. The option to Boost campaign is a great bonus as on other software you have to manually do this operation
Downsides so far for us are: If you started to create a campaign, you can't change it into an AB test or vice versa. Therefore in case your team set something up wrong you would need to spend some more time to save the entire template and then reapply to a new campaign and set up all the other details. You can't have more lists, just more segments. The segment creation + automated workflows are a bit less complex than the competitors. Depending on your business, you might find this annoying and time-consuming to find workarounds. There is a deliverability warmup built-in tool but it's a bit hard to find at first The list hygiene tool that is available can only be used for the entire account (including non-subscribed people) which brings the pricing up and you can't edit anything.
We promised our customers daily deals and not all platforms offer an unlimited sending plan as Omnisend without becoming prohibitive in terms of price. This is helping up stay on top of our promise while also having an acceptable ROI
I think Omnisend is great, as it ties in to any website. It has a lot of the usability, to other platforms such as Klaviyo, and I like the easy to use template builder.
It could do with more usable templates, easier to use flows & automations. The ability to visualise automations isn't as simple and one major thing it is lacking, is a way to autosend after X period, to those that do not open an email blast.
We're trying to reach out audience via automated emails & email blasts. Omnisend can offer a cost-effective way to do this, as it's much cheaper than it's competitors, whilst offering good value for money.
