Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers. It provides a range of cloud services, including those for compute, analytics, storage, and networking, allowing users to pick and choose from these services to develop and scale new applications, or run existing applications, in the public cloud.

Cost-effective. Eliminates hardware costs Less maintenance Low latency
Windows authentication is not available in the Azure-SQL Also will be helpful if extended stored-procedures and also the table partitioning been added
Azure SQL service has dedicated teams which focuses mainly to ensure the protection of the data centers, hardware, and services. Helpful in easy migration.
Very, very scalable and easy to build reliable cloud apps with. Also reliable and secure enough to store userbase login details on. If you pick up SQL once, it's easy to use.
New hires require dedicated training to learn Azure SQL DB if not trained already. Although there aren't any competitors that are any simpler. Relational databases are inherently limited in capability too.
Takes away the headache of hosting a DB instance yourself. We used Azure SQL DB for deploying our ecommerce app. Both our user and product data live on it and we haven't had any problems.
What is like most of Azure SQL database is that it is effortless to deploy and maintain. The cloud offering takes away the need for the infrastructure and physical servers. SQL database comes with high reliability, advanced security and scalability. Overall its a great service offering.
Azure SQL database is a great product and nothing to dislike
At Quest, we are using the Azure SQL database for creating and managing the backend repository for the Erwin Data Intelligence tool. It is very easy to login into the Azure portal and create an SQL database instance. Azure SQL cloud service comes with the backup and snapshot feature that allows us to quickly stand up an instance using the backup in cases of data loss. It is easily scalable by adding additional storage and rezise of the database.
Serverless Computing, On demand scalability, Integration of pipeline
For beginners cost of some services is high who are trying to learn and explore Azure.
Move data from on-premise to cloud and CI/CD using Azure Pipeline deployment.
Index recommendations, hot queries detection, flexibility to switch between vCore and DTU based, sharding support.
No such bad experience though I would recommend maybe better at DTU based model for IO operations as most of the time we felt the database is underutilized.
It helps to maintain our application data securely but at the same time making it better for faster retrieval and cheaper when compared with a private cloud hosting model.
It's hassle-free service is top notch.Azure is having many services and each service will be launched with in short time and accurate as well. More over Azure will amaze it's customers with updated services.
Nothing much negative and no dislike about Azure. I liked it more than any other cloud provider
We use Azure for our Java project and is deployed in pods using kubernetes and azure provided use the best infrastructure ever. All the services will be up 24/7 and it's customer service also much faster.
It gives us insights on how best i can explore do day to day activities, tasks, bugs, and product backlogs for the companies with the skills gained from the Microsoft azure platform.
I feel azure DevOps is a little lagging at times and hope so it will be fixed soon as the performance for deliver continuous integration and continuous deployment will improve.
It helps me in completing tasks, bugs, and product backlogs for the project and also helps me in delivering the task on time which makes the client quite happy with the progress of the project
Being a long time C# developer it was very easy to transition from using localized SQL Server databases run on servers we control to SQL Azure databases hosted in the cloud. It was very easy to setup using Visual Studio and connect to my app/code.
Setting permissions at the user level can be a bit more challenging than it is using local SQL databases, but once you figure it out and get up and running with the correct permissions everything works great. Cost wise, it's pretty expensive in comparison to self hosted instances, but that's the cost of managed instances.
We don't have to maintain any servers, patch them with security updates, or worry about power outages or downtime (mostly). It's nice to be able to develop our systems and let someone else maintain the backend integrity of them.
Microsoft Azure made me feel to do all my compant works easily. Right from Azure Directory and Azure Devops and everything related to Azure made my tasks simpler and User Friendly.
I dont have much dislike about Microsoft azure. I liked most of the features of Azure. It would still help me if Azure Devops can be much faster in Chrome, because i felt Edge has much faster and reliability in using.
Azure Directory, Azure Cloud and Azure Devops helps me in doing day to day activities in company. It helps me to solve tasks, bugs and user stories in an organized and well manner. This improves customer and business relationships and helps to track everything very well.
Now i m going to clear AZ-900 and i am loving azure as m going deep
Little beat confusing to learn disk attachment and directories
At first i was unable to use security group i learned that from microsoft site and its quiet easy
What's not to like! With Azure I have been able to set up tons of Software solutions and deploy reliable infraestructure very quickly. It has a lot of ready to use resources which makes every developer's life easier. Particularly I like VM resources, Event Hub and Azure Virtual Desktops.
It can be very expensive to have the best configuration for your resources. This is good when you are already a big company, but when you are a small to medium size IT company, it can be challenging to get money to afford the right configuration for your Azure Resources.
On Premise to Cloud migration. CI/CD solutions. Web hosting, easy to set up blob storage services. Platform integration is way more easy with Azure ready to use resources. I provide integration of monitoring services of radio stations for music industry metrics in Colombia and Azure has made my job extremly productive.
Managed cloud database provided by Microsoft Azure. It is a fully managed PaaS (Platform as a Service) database engine that handles most of the database management functions like upgrading, patching, backup and also monitoring without the involvement of users. Managed database services also take care of scalability and high availability.
There are some limitations of Azure SQL Database like There is no windows authentication on Azure SQL, No support for database mirroring and failover clustering, It doesn't support stored procedures and user-defined functions.
Azure SQL Database is always up to date, fully managed database service where we can build our application with simplicity and flexibility to meet business demands. It has hyperscale storage that adapts to changing requirements by scaling the storage capacity. It has built-in controls and intelligent threat detection that keeps the data secure. Its high availability maintains peak performance and durability with an SLA of 99.99 %
The best thing is creating pipeline for deployment and sql database is also comes with azure. And all this things makes development easy. So I prefer azure over all other tools.
If I talk about dislike then it doesn't provide functionality like server less development and I think scalability is also not up to the mark apart from that everything is fine
Microsoft azure platform provides a platform where we can host our applications. It can be web application or mobile based application. And it provides all database and deployment services
It is having loads of functionality from sql, virtual machine, etl tools, visualization tools, and many things for which we can easily use this products
Their UI is quite difficult to understand for the fresh users. Amazon aws has simple Ui
Solving many business problems like if some organisations doesn't want to have on premise network then they can use azure or almost everything which is high in cost for on premise is available in azure
the hyperconverged infrastructure distributed in the cloud is truly a strength
the cost and the skills that are not for everyone
coordinating multiple locations in different countries with different languages just got easier
