The software works as a PowerPoint add-in, so you can build courses in the familiar PPT environment. You can start with an existing presentation and enrich it with more advanced learning content: quizzes, screencasts, video lectures, role-play simulations, and interactions.
To allow you to create polished courses even faster, iSpring’s Content Library includes over 89,000 royalty-free templates, characters, locations, icons, and buttons. iSpring Suite also comes with a shared drive for content collaboration. You can store all your content and collect feedback on it from your team in a shareable online space.

As the iSpring slogan written on the handbag I got in DevLearn 2015 - it’s an “Easy Tool for Busy People”, intended for Instructional Designers such as myself who want to develop creative learning experiences without having the technical skills. Thanks to iSpring’s amazingly quick and efficient technical support I was able to develop my iSpring skills and use its features to its fullest.
It would be nice if iSpring can support the mobile’s unique screen transitions and touch gestures for screens and objects on the screen (this might not be possible being a PowerPoint plugin) It would have been nice if iSpring adds some visual interactions such as Drag & Drop, and make the interaction feature more sophisticated.
I am now in the process of exploring the topic of mLearning, and started using iSpring for prototyping mobile learning apps that will later be developed into real Mobile Apps. For me this is a quick and easy use of an existing tool that I am already familiar with for a new development domain, in addition to using iSpring for the development of courses that can be viewed on all devices.
Found the branching simulation resource extremely useful. I teach a module on Child Protection / Safeguarding who students who have usually no direct practice experience. So have been able to 'bring to life' work we've done theoretically on guidance and what you should do, applying it to a more believable case example of a child in school. It gives students 10 choice points and follows through the consequences of these. The software allows easy addition f relevant backgrounds and characters, written speech and information - looking forward t version 8.2 which I hear will allow audio to be added. Students very positive about the simulation: "I find it easy and useful for learning and practical, as it puts me in the place of the professional."..."It is good to see how safeguarding works step by step rather than just watching or reading about it.....enjoyable way of learning...found I knew more than I thought I did".
Would be nice to be able to control the transparency of message boxes as occasionally text was not easy to see against the chosen background. Also, as above, the addition of audio promised in 8.2 will be great for work I do on English for Academic Purposes with international students.
As above, trying to give students more realistic practice situations, where they can learn from making mistakes without having the real-life consequences that would occur if they had to 'learn from experience' in actual practice.
I like the Quiz Maker utility because of how easy it is to use and the options it provides
I wish the program allowed more results/reporting options for course managers
The suite of programs has allowed us to publish traditional classroom presentations and host them online
With iSpring, I can create e-Learning faster than before. I like its integration with PowerPoint, so you don't have to work on separate windows.
It's quite difficult to change the GUI theme
I'm working as a e-Learning Developer in my department. We have lot of raw materials that have to be converted to elearning content as fast as possible. With iSpring, we can create e-Learning content with only few clicks. We can also add quizzes, survey, and embed multimedia content.
The flexibility and variety to create slides in great
Instructions /Training very limited and confusing
Corporate Training
iSpring Suite seamlessly integrates with Microsoft PowerPoint, allowing you to create eLearning content directly within PowerPoint. Also, it provides a wide range of tools for creating various types of eLearning content, including quizzes, assessments, simulations and interactions.
iSpring Suite is designed for Windows operating systems. Mac users may need to use virtual machines or other solutions to run it.
We basically created powerful courses for our new sales representatives to walk them through your company's sales process. This included lead generation, prospecting, qualification, presentation, objection handling, and closing techniques. Previousky, we had manual 1-1 interactions which was then replaced with automated learning which while we were scaling helped us a lot.
What I like most about iSpring is that the software acts as an extension to Microsoft PowerPoint, so program that I'm very familiar with. iSpring isn't a difficult software to navigate.
What I dislike most about iSpring is how sensitve moving files can be to a project. When a project is saved or published, files can't be moved from their original location or else the project will be corrupted. Also, the text to speech voices are super robotic, even the "natural" voices.
It's helping me to find interactive ways to promote our learners to be more involved in their training. The role play simulation also provides a real-life experience necessary for an easy transition from training to application.
The learning curve of iSpring is tremendously reduced if you know your way around PowerPoint. If your SME is delivering their source material as a PPT deck, it's an almost seamless transition into development.
The interaction and assessment interfaces are clunky. The way the files are stored is not intuitive and very difficult to share across a department. As a newer tool, the interaction options are a bit limited compared to other authoring tools.
If SMEs deliver source material in PPT format, then it excels as a rapid authoring tool. This is great for greener developers and smaller teams. When building up headcount, this is invaluable to keep up with demand while also providing good development for the newer members of the team.
Integration with power point and edit video options
Lack of templates even with licenses and is not intuitive at all, I need to watch so many videos for each action I want to apply.
Organizational trainings with good visualization on phones
The HTML5 output is impeccable, and the tool taps in to all of PowerPoint's features (two things that Articulate Presenter/Studio currently lacks). Also you will find their support team to be incredible. They are responsive to inquiries immediately, and I have found them to go above and beyond to assist in a variety of different requests, of varying degrees of difficulty. If you are looking to quickly author e-learning with a PPT-based tool, look no further. Only competitor is Articulate, and today, iSpring is better in just about every category.
The only drawback (again comparing to Articulate) is they don't have as many built in "interactions", however, we work around this by using powerpoint to create our own, which often are more robust an interesting than a built-in interaction could be.
By far HTML5 issues have been huge, and iSpring solved this for us. We have 700 PPT-based eLearning presentations, and iSpring was the easiest way to convert these to clean HTML5. If you are an Articulate user, you know you cannot publish to HTML5 only, just a "backup" for mobile, and you may have found out the hard way that if you use quizzes or interactions ("action items") the HTML5 output from Articulate will not work. iSpring works in all browsers (you can also include a Flash backup if you want), with tons of publishing options. This has been incredibly valuable for our stakeholders and clients, and has saved deals worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Simple to get started. Good online help and tutorials. Really helpful staff on hand to help via chat. No need for mega powerpoint skills. Just dive in.
Sometimes the product isnt quite as flexible as I would ideally like however once you understand the (minor) constraints that you need to work within you can happily design and deploy effective e-learning.
Creating e-learning to educate a workforce and ensure its compliance with the relevant industry-specific rules and regulations.
It's integration with MS Powerpoint is a powerful tool for efficiency. It allows for quick sharing of comments and suggestions on design as anyone can view the material as if it's a powerpoint presentation
Having experienced Adobe Captivate, the efficiency can sometimes come at the cost of freedom of expression in transitions, animations, etc. Interactions can be too templated which may not fully grasp the needs of the module
One of our current challenges are the needed turnaround time to accomplish the technical trainings of our client. Since iSpring is connected with powerpoint, the medium of the clients presentations, it allows us to faster accomplish the required documents and deliverables.
I like the ability to create screen recordings as well as the variety of quiz questions when creating an assessment.
The capabilities are very limited. It's difficult to make the course look like more than just a Powerpoint.
ISpring allows us to create online content that we can upload as a SCORM file to our LMS. It allows us the ability to add quizzes and simulations to our online training.
Easy installation of the trial version. The first conversion of a powerpoint presentation with voices comments to an HTML files set included within my Web site was successfull
My experience is too short to answer this question. Up to now no problems
Quickly offer web users the possibility to read an existing existing Powerpoint presentation without havingto download it .
Its incredibly easy to build a platform that can be used by your company.
All the courses I built with the provided iSpring template are experiencing a loading error and now I am being asked to rebuild the courses because they do not have a workable solution.
Its supposed to be streamlining my training process - but has been inoperable with no current solution
User-friendly product. It is a PowerPoint add-in so easy to use all the functionalities. The recent TTS feature is good. It high time iSpring need to develop a standalone tool like Storyline.
I have been using this product since its first launch, it used to be good in after sales support. But recently if you want to reach out to their support, no one replies in time. And finally you end up switching to other product. Worst experience with iSpring [email protected] and [email protected].
easy elearning creation using simple tool helps in rapid elearning authoring.
I like the quiz features and interactivity, as well as the assurance that my copyrighted content can't be copied and downloaded. Support is always very quick to respond and help with issues.
In my experience with my team, iSpring is complicated to use. It's also very slow and often messes up the formatting of the slides we have created post conversion. We've had many issues with our slides not looking the same after converting to iSpring, and it's wasted a lot of time determining how to change on our end so iSpring conversion won't mess up the intended look of the slides.
It allows us to upload our slides in a way that ensures others using our product can't download or copy the materials we have created. It also allows us to create interactive slides.
