Great price and visually attractive as a CRM
A few things. Email domains don't populate automatically, they must be input manually. Any Organisation with no email domain info won't pull through email correspondence with that contact, even if their email address is already on the system - In my opinion, this is the worst feature.
Building prospect lists based on location, title and organisation. We have had many demo requests from email campaigns built from the data we leverage within insightly.
Amazing customer relationship management for the business on small scale projects with flexibility and many perspectives.
For our business use this platform is the best solution. There is nothing negative to complain about as yet. Is Quite expensive but facilities are worth it.
Is good for businesses on a small scale when dealing with individual projects.
Customizability is great. Email templates are great. Navigation is easy.
When clients reply to emails from Insightly, the BCC of my Insightly email drops off so they don't sync with Insightly automatically. I have to install an extension within my Gmail to sync manually, which is not beneficial if I'm out of the office and my team wants to keep up with client conversations.
Customer tracking and outreach. Integration with Periscope has been useful to sync data to track customer trends.
It packs a lot of information into the CRM with the ability to maintain contacts, invite others and manage projects.
Cumbersome to navigate and get the most pertinent data quickly when you want it
Love the runway for project management to see where things are for different stages of a project and with which team members
If subscriber to Professional Plan, there are lots of customization options. Especially find workflow automation feature useful. The reports are also very customizable, which is helpful for different types of users of the data within the CRM.
The value of the customer success plan is questionable; they are difficult to schedule with and are not customer-centric in their communications. Online support team often provides links to the help pages in answer questions we've posed to them via one-one communication; if we wanted to be referred back to the online help platform, we wouldn't have reached out personally. Our team is not a fan of the newer Gmail Add-on, as does not make it as easy/convenient to integrate email communications with Contacts/Leads.
Managing sales pipeline.
Custom fields - This was a key consideration for using Insightly. We have different types of contacts that we wanted to manage, and various sub-categories within each of those contact categories. Custom fields were available with the free version of Insightly, which was ultimately what lead us to make the decision to go with their platform.
The biggest issue for us is the weak filters on the mobile app. When we're in the field, we'd like to be able to filter organizations by location so we can visit those organizations when we're in the area. It's the biggest weakness of the platform by far.
Capturing emails to contacts is easy, since we're able to simply BCC emails to Insightly and they're instantly associated with the appropriate sender and their organization.
Easy login. Easy interface. The tagging system is extremely helpful as well.
You can't export linked profiles. So organizations and contacts are treated differently and when trying to create a segmented list it's impossible unless you utilize the API to extracted linked profiles. The App is also extremely hard to use with tags for contacts/organizations.
Simply having a database of clients and targets.
Insightly is a cost efficient alternative to high priced popular CRMs. It's price point and bare-bones setup are its key benefits
It can be a bit clunky to use at times. While the autofill searches are great, they sometimes don't work. At times there database takes a while to sync, and entries won't show up immediately.
We are able to use insightly effectively to track leads and returning customers. Insightly makes it easy to prepare email lists and various marketing lists across different segments and different stage of our sales funnel.
Clean interface, pricing, integration with MailChimp
Essential marketing automation features are priced higher
Helps keep the business organized
It's free. It holds a lot of great information and has good connectivity with other apps. The email integration. The deals and opportunities tracking.
It feels very text based, whereas the tool I've moved to has drag and drop features in it's sales pipeline and is easier to use.
Maintaining relationships with my coaching clients and keeping everything in one place to minimise my admin load.
It has the ability to save email directly from Gmail
It is cumbersome and expensive. Hard to delete duplicates.
tracking information and email.
The filter allowed me to look at different groups easily. I can find notes, contact info, and history quickly.
I can not link email addresses to my Outlook or use copy and paste, so I literally have to manually write down the email address and type it in. Once I fill in info on a company and its contact person, I need to retype that info into the Contact List. There are lots of great options but each one requires its own set-up. No real cross pollination.
It does a great job of reminding me when to re-connect with a lead. It gives me the history of sales pitch cycle quickly and easily. It has been easy to have multiple users in different regions all use, review and comment on accounts.
That I can access my projects from the office or from home. And that team members can quickly catch up on a job if I'm not around
The email integration frustrates me. We have to copy every email into insightly manually and then attach it to a project - or go into insightly to get the specific email for that particular project and then forward. I appreciate there is an issue with spam, but this adds a level of clunkiness that I could do without.
We have streamlined much of our operations. We can now see where we are with a project and set reminders to make sure that we follow up on proposals. Things don't slip through our busy fingers in the way they used to.
Allows me to manage customer relations with such each.
I'm an app gal, and theirs just isn't up to par just yet.
Because of the sync ability between inboxes I'm able to stay on top of everything, and it insures I don't miss a thing.
I love the layout of Insightly, I can see where emails are or where we are at on a project. Also, emails CAN be linked to one another and projects to know where communication is. Additionally, I appreciated how I could create our own work flows and visually see the progress. This was handy to quick take a look at what needed to be done next.
I believe Insightly would be great but there are so many layers to it and it's incredibly complicated. I would receive emails in my inbox and would then have to forward them to insightly, then tag them. It was too much additional work and I found it frustrating. Although it is visually appealing, I did find that I was adding so many additional steps to the follow up process without the benefit of linking emails sent. I would send a follow up email and then would have to remember to CC insightly (which was not hard) but then I had to manually attach it to the account or project. I wish insightly would link known emails to accounts and allow a drag drop to projects.
Tracking projects and contacts. I wish I would under stand
I liked that it was simple to use at first. Easy to upload lists, as well.
Didn't track customers like we needed since it was higher ed and it needed to be admits.
it was supposed to keep us all looped in together, but it just didn't work out like we wanted it to.
Areas for all business management - leads, opportunities, projects.
Manual entry of everything. Manual clicking through to change pipeline stages rather than just clicking on the pipeline bar itself.
Streamlining sales process. Organization
Being able to track progress and see the connections within contacts and organizations.
It takes too many steps to do anything on Insightly. I feel like it could be much more streamlined and have a cleaner look.
This keeps everyone on the same page and able to see what is going on within the sales team. We can all see the progress within each opportunity.
The ability to create a rudimentary Sales funnel.
Must manually track all conversion from lead, contact and the stages of teh funnel. also their reporting technology is not built out enough to be useable.
trying to build a functioning sales organization with a many levels of experience from 10+ years to entry level.
I believe that Insightly is reliable. The amount of storage information that is available for this software is very useful. The constant 3-prong reminders are great to have.
I wish there was a constant reminder to update contacts. Because there is a large storage of information, information can easily be outdated without reminders.
Contact information was the initial use for Insightly. Follow-ups were then implemented. Again, the weekly reminders and intelligent follow-up algorithm is great.
