I am a frequent user of the heat-map feature, and I think it provides valuable insights that we would otherwise miss.
A/B testing is something that can be worked on, when running a test the control version loads for a few seconds and then the variant loads.
We understand how our users are behaving with our page, which is an add-on to the quantitative data that we have from A/B testing.
Heatmaps & session replay give great insights
Complexity in certain features e.g. filtering session replay is URL-based
Finding out customer behavior to implement CRO efforts
All information at one place. Easy to pull reports on a click.
Dashboards can look better and the process can be simpler
Entering leads information Just an excel upload.
Clean look, integrates with a lot of other 3rd party applications
It was confusing to use and whenever we reached out to support, we wouldn't receive an email/call back for days - if at all. We felt this could've been a solution to our business's needs but didn't get the chance to talk to someone to make it be that.
N/A - we didn't get to utilize it to its full potential because we were never properly trained on the the applicaton
The CRM is easy to use and you can create multiple filters, reports, and fields.
Sometimes, it's just too much. The views can look clumsy and needs a steady internet connection to have smooth usage.
Generating leads and email tracking
cheap compared to other CRM options while still have tons of features. Almost only CRM with an option for allowing calling and a dialer within the appllication itself. great because you do not need multiple softwares. easy to use and figure out. great interface.
pricing is a bit expensive but not compared to other options like zoho or salesforce.
keeping track of sales pipelines, managing current partners, and
Freshmarketer has great heatmaps as well as a/b testing without any coding required. Using session replay, you can see what users do on your website to identify problem areas. The simple funnel tool is a good addition.
It's a mish-mash of features, many of which we don't use like split URL testing, polls, and forms. It'd be good to see more intelligence added, e.g. pointing out certain buttons etc. that see a spike in clicks.
Freshmarketer helps us see how users interact with our marketing website, and helps us optimize it to make the user's journey more streamlined to convert more users.
I feel like Freshsales had the potential to blow Pipedrive out of the water. It's very user friendly and offers additional features that Pipedrive is lacking. I love that they have a page dedicated to collecting user requests and mapping out when they expect to deploy new features. When I'd last tested this platform, they had a lot of great features in the works.
When we tested this platform when we were looking to switch CRMs, it lacked a few features that we needed. We really needed a CRM that would allow us to utilize multiple pipelines to track our deals, and, at the time, Freshsales did not offer that feature. They were also very slow to respond when I contacted them with questions. A more developed customer service center would go a long way.
We tested this to see if it could replace our current CRM, which lacked some features that the company needed. We, unfortunately, did not move forward with Freshsales because it was lacking some of the key features we use on a daily basis. They have a lot in their pipeline, and I hope to test their product again in the future.
I like the pipeline tracking of contacts. I like that it's easy to import contacts. I like creating customer journeys, and being able to create timed messages. We have a bilingual audience so it's very easy to send language-specific communications.
Customer service - Took months and months to "fix" what was essentially a bug. And ultimately the fix was to create a custom customer journey, which we could have done in the first place. To this day we aren't able to see custom fields from our sign up form in an easy way in Freshsales, it comes in as code into a "notes" field. It was so much back and forth that we just gave up trying to fix it. Emoji's don't get parsed correctly when we create email templates - emojis are a part of our brand voice and it diminishes the quality of our messaging to not be able to use them. Integration with Freshdesk is really disappointing. We do a lot of customer service and contacts don't always get ported over, every time we create a ticket from the Freshsales interface it never shows up in Freshworks, and we can't see the sent journey communications (either emails or texts) easily enough, so we aren't able to actually get a full history of our communication with different users. I do not recommend using these two solutions if you are a customer-service-heavy organization.
We wanted a way to send customers specific communications based on the step of the journey that they're on. Also wanted to easily track when we lost customers at specific stages.
The interface is nicely designed and fairly easy to navigate at a high level. And then things start to fall apart. This software has a lot of potential, but it seems the development use cases were all created by engineers. Hire some UX people!!!
I'll keep adding to this list as I find more: Export contacts - easy? Nope. You have to build a report and then export the contacts. Many steps. See all of your tasks - easy? Nope. They have a permanent date filter field applied so you have to, that's right, build a report to see all of your tasks. Create a marketing list - easy? Nope. You have to first create a list on one screen, then navigate to your contacts, filter those contacts, then add them to the list. See who has clicked on what link in your email - not possible. Landing pages - don't get me started. The structure of the implementation is confusing. If you have more than one slug, your home directory has to have content or none of the slugs will load. Zoom integration - not really. Activity list - not possible. There is no way to see a list of all your activities - tasks created, emails sent, etc.
It's doing it's best to make it hard for me to solve my problems. It should be at least an easy-to-use CRM with some marketing and sales features.
Freshsales provides pretty good customization but honestly it needs a lot of work
Constantly buggy, lack of customization options, bad customer support, unfortunately there are very little automations as well
Using this as our current CRM to manage new and existing business. We are currently using this in order to keep track of our vendors and possible sales
Campaigns are good, the deals view is very useful.
Chrome extension is often very glitchy - no way to automatically add new leads to FreshSales from emails.
Keeping track of leads and deals, and useful for projection of revenue.
Easy data uploads and mapping with the ability to do basic automated email campaigns for leads and accounts.
Glitchy tracking and poor reporting capabilities. As teams scale and activity and data is segmented, more in-depth reporting and tracking is needed.
Eliminating the need for an early demand-gen head-count.
The team is very responsive and it fits the budget of a start-up.
The actual infrastructure of the product is frustrating at times. I work mostly in the analytics section, and there are some problems that I have to create work arounds for whereas other CRMs are more intuitive.
It creates weekly reports for us to analyze our sales analytics as our team goes through clients. We use it to go through campaigns of multiple clients at a time and have no issues as the export is exactly right and always on time.
Their customer support - sadly this doesn't go beyond a friendly reply (but it's quick!)
What happens after customer support... i.e nothing
It's a CRM - it does the basics. It stores contact details. No benefits other than that
Whole sales funnel is consolidated at one place, from leads to meetings and deals.
There are a lot of bugs and errors in the product.
It is consolidating my whole sales funnel at one place and making it easier to track and make decisions. For me specifically , our sales cycle is around 45-60 days and has a lot of elements invloved. Using different software for different steps creates data quality issues and makes it difficult to map each step.
That is an all-in-one platform for sales and marketing. It makes our workflow easy and communication easier. All contacts are in one place and we can easily follow up with the leads coming in for each quarter. It makes marketing teams understand how sales are doing and we can also look at how many client touchpoints are open. I think this platform is set out with a very good goal of solving a big problem of communication between teams.
It is difficult to manage email marketing and customer journeys are complicated. Also when we are a part of the sales marketing team we need more agile platform that helps us create various templates and designs that make emails user-friendly. So when compare to mail chimp the email marketing platform is not user-friendly. The customer journeys are also not that great to look at. I would prefer a better user interface that will make it much more pleasant and easier to work around.
One place for all sales and communications platforms so that we do not spam or overload the client's email. It's easy to differentiate between the roles and duties of each team and pass on information with ease. Our work doesn't overlap when it comes to making progress with positive communication to potential clients. Also, as we could integrate it with our other platforms so it made our complete data mapping seemless.
the UI looks good and neat reports, user level control is good
If you want to use it with manager and execs on the same platform, the execs will be able to see all the emails of managers on team inbox, which is really bad we realised it after using this for 6 months, ever since then we are asking them to resolve the same bit it has been 4 months and they are still not able to solve it.
captures lead data from website form, lets you use territory access and auto lead assignment works well with that.
Not sure yet. It has got some quite good dashboards but have query with the platform security
Freshsales risks sharing confidential data with others as once you sync your contacts everyone can see your email communications and if there is a contact that you need to communicate confidential information regarding a HR issue of another team member for example others in your team can see the communications.
It hasn't yet as i cant use it due to data security issues
Their UI is passable at best, but the UX isn't great and what they charge for is a little ridiculous. Like ordering a field requires one of their top tier categories.
They don't downgrade well. We were on the highest tier trial. After the trial we downgraded to free. This broke everything, we couldn't create accounts, leads, customers, etc.... Assumed this was because of the downgrade so after contacting support decided to upgrade to a paid account. Still everything was broken. Contacted support several times and was always told "we'll work on it" finally just gave up and moved to another CRM. They offer NO refunds. So if you pay them and nothing works then tough luck I guess.
None as their site doesn't work if you start on a paid trial. I think it's mildly intentional though as you spend a ton of time getting it setup on the paid trial and then when you downgrade everything breaks. So you either pay to get back on their highest tier or wipe out everything you did and start fresh on a lower tier.
