I was looking for an alternative to Facebook for our networked community to interact in a modern intuitive environment to replace cumbersome BuddyPress and I think we have found just what we want with tribe.co. Learning curve is not too steep and support appears to be excellent.
SSO option only available with most expensive subscription.
Currently moving to own domain. Users are already interacting in a way they did not with previous groups and forums.
Easiness of platform and all in-built features for a community.
Hashtag support should be there in the free version.
Connecting testers with an online community.
Tribe is a powerful, highly scalable and flexible platform for almost any community of people who want to connect around a shared purpose. The tools are simple, intuitive and beautifully designed. We are running a closed, subscription based group mentoring community, and it has been a fantastic fit for our needs.
No integrated messaging platform and badly working Telegram integration.
An easy way to bring together a closed community of users to share in a learning experience and keep regular contact. And to build up a database of knowledge.
I absolutely love Tribe. It works amazing. I love how I can manage the community and post to the community with one community. Overall Tribe is the best thing I have ever had!
I love everything about Tribe. There Is Nothing That I Don't Like About Tribe!
I love allowing my community members to post questions and answer questions!
Tribe is extremely easy to set up and the design is intuitive for admin and for users alike. It's ideal for taking away the uncertainty from hosting a community on a common platform like Facebook Groups. Engagement is high because the platform prompts it at optimum times.
The only negative at the moment (with 6 months of usage) is that there is a tiny delay when you tap on buttons such as 'like' and 'comment'. It's very minimal though. Otherwise the site runs quickly and perfectly.
Taking our community off of Facebook Groups means that our users aren't distracted with the other features they use Facebook for. It means that the members of our community are solely there to interact with us.
Tribe offers a robust API with many plug and play options for integration. The ability to customize it, style it to suit your brand, and embed it's native functionality makes it an excellent platform with which to provide your community a forum-based social environment. Plus, Tribe is a platform that is constantly rolling out new and great features. Their staff are knowledgeable, competent, extremely responsive, supportive and very cooperative. They've always been there when we've needed them to help make our integration successful. They're a great company to work with.
So far our experience with the Tribe team and platform has been nothing but positive.
Using Tribe we are solving the need to provide user communities in our system with the ability to communicate in a forum-based social environment. Integrating Tribe enabled us to deliver this functionality sooner and with fewer resources than by rolling our own.
Tribe was so easy to set up and personalise to match BookedYet’s branding. We are extremely excited to have just launched our online community with Tribe and looking forward to seeing it grow and using the platform to engage with our customers!
We are yet to find anything we dislike about using Tribe for BookedYet
The Tribe Community Platform is allowing BookedYet to grow its online community and engage with travelers to inspire and educate them on how to travel in more sustainable ways.
Being a small startup the idea of setting up or building something for an online community management was a huge issue for us. Luckily came across Tribe and this seems to have been the easiest way to get started with a very flexible solution. Will be setting up further integrations and look forward to growing our community on Tribe in the coming months.
Would have liked the SSO in Plus plan or option to buy it for a slight premium.
Tribe has helped us in building an online community for our Healthcare Startup.
We use Tribe at https://comunidad.gedu.es as a collaborative social environment between teachers in Spain. We are more than 1800 teachers in this professional community. The best thing for me is that there is a ranking that encourages community members to contribute.
I would like a smartphone app to be launched
Our use of Tribe is to share knowledge, and the way we can ask questions and track responses is a huge improvement over the Google Plus communities where we came from. It has also helped us a lot to be able to use topics to group the knowledge and contributions of community members. This saves us time and facilitates moderation.
The support is excellent and the application interface is very easy to use
Up to now I haven't faced with any issue
The first and foremost problem I am solving with Tribe Community Platform is the expensive development fees and hosting fees needed to run a similar platform. Since Tribe.so provides the community platform as a service, I don't have to deal with coding, hosting, CDN and email providers. It is a turn-key solution
I like everything about Tribe community. You can do so many things from customers support to your business community and marketing. We have bought Tribe with many idea in head for our marketplace users. The first idea was to create our VIP community where users can ask questions to others and get support from the others. After setup our account we have seen so much more opportunities
The language localization was an issue for me. But the team is working on it.
A good alternative of Facebook for private online community. It's Perfect for private online community and to reduce support team work
The ease with which you can set things up. When I first got started with Tribes, I was concerned that making the transition from facebook to Tribes would be a difficult one. But with the resources and guidance provided by Tribes it was very easy for me to move my audience.
To be honest nothing at this point. I haven't had any reason to complain since I started using Tribes.
Tribes gives me an opportunity to create a community for my members on a platform without any distractions. Because it's outside facebook I'm now able to attrcat people I would otherwise have lost simply because they do not want to be on facebook
Tribe is always helpful every time we have a support request or even just a question on how to best utilize the platform. And the rapid responses are awesome! We are often trying to serve our customers in the group, and we need to be able to do that quickly! Thank you!
No real dislikes! Only thing I could maybe think of is to change the spacing when people answer a question so that it can look less crammed!
Group communication is so much easier this way! The topic organization and discussion threads are very well put together!
I really love Tribe. It’s a perfect and independent group you can build so easily. I’m totally fan of the UI/UX of Tribe, really intuitive and easy to use. I can only recommend it to anyone willing to create and grow a community or an audience away from facebook, Slack or Discord. It offers advantages of each of them without the disadvantages.
Maybe the difficulty to clarify differences with quick topics, questions, articles and discussion for my users. Sometimes they publish in one way and should have been in another way. I would like to have the ability to modify that.
I have solved the problems to gather my community on Tribe Platform. They can now discuss, share their thoughts and comment it easily. It also offers theme the possibility to network, that's great !
We were on the verge of finalizing another tool for our community portal. After I saw Tribe, there was no looking back. Tribe provided us with everything in-house. Implementing Single Sign-On with our product was a breeze. Everything was well documented and we had very little to do with the development efforts. The rich set of integrations provided by Tribe is something that will make this application stand out from others in the crowd. We were able to integrate Tribe with most of the third-party applications we use. In a few days, we had our sleek, responsive, modern, flexible and powerful community portal up and running.
There isn't much. The default view that we get along with Tribe is something that can be completely customized. But still, I would see a better default look and feel with less disturbance.
I am using Tribe as my community portal and as my solution articles gallery. Basically Tribe is helping us a lot with our customer support needs.
Easy setup, no knowledge about the cloud infrastructure is required. Vanity URL, loads of community features, lot of customization, and excellent support community. SEO booster, gamification, welcome email, social logins etc helps to grow the community. Instant notifications to channels like Telegram keeps your community engaged.
Needs improvements in terms of third party integrations. No mobile app available yet. Few of the must-have apps are listed under Premium, which is a deal breaker for some. E.g. Slack, Web hooks etc required premium plans.
I would like to bring my website visitors and YouTube viewers to one platform to learn and share their knowledge about the software testing. Tribe helps me to grow my community stronger and bigger by redirecting them to sign up, engage, share and learn. Common questions being answered by the community and other users gets benefited without asking the same question again.
Easy to use, loads fast, and got a great lifetime deal through AppSumo. We're using Tribe for our internal community of 450+ virtual assistants from VirtualLatinos.com, and we love the ability to share content, tips and ideas internally on a private community using Tribe. Our VAs specially love the points system, and people have been actively engaged, sharing and commenting to get high up on our scoreboard. So far, we've very happy with it!
Not much, but would love if it would have more integrations (coming soon though!)
Connecting our entire community of virtual assistants from Latin America (https://www.virtuallatinos.com)
Tribe Has helped Livelong Digital create an environment for generating new ideas for work and life whilst also fostering a sense of community among our clients which is vital for creating a business that’s profitable and enjoyable.
The news feed is chronological. If it was dynamic and shows people what's relevant to them, it will be a 11/10 platform.
We have now connected well with our audience and they too are finding referrals for their own business.
Tribe is very customizable not just in terms of changing design elements or merging with the website; developers can use the comprehensive API to build custom solutions on top of the platform.
There were small bugs related to the notification system, but the team was quick to fix the issues.
We're looking to solve two problems with Tribe. The first one is about amplifying the content generation capability by leveraging UGC (user-generated content) and improve brand visibility via SEO. Second is about customer engagement and open up a direct communication line to centralize knowledge sharing.
First of all, their success team is obsessively determined to help you succeed (as a business partner). So, big shout out for that! Apart from strong customer support, Tribe's engineering team works hand in hand to deliver any type of customization you need to help you succeed. They are constantly improving and release tons of updates on a regular frequency based on customer feedback. Here are some of the things that I liked the most: - Beautiful design with an AI-based activity feed that strikes a balance between content types and groups. - A polished gamification system. - Social widgets of the community that you can just pick and integrate into your product. That instantly adds community experience with two-way sync. - Targeting users based on certain cohorts with a targeted notification system.
I think the email digest feature needs more customizability. As far as I know, that's also work in progress.
We are using Tribe for a private community of our clients -- primarily to keep them connected to the brand and increase reachability with product collaterals and promotions. Overall, we had an amazing experience by working with such an energetic partner that not only offers a polished community platform but also supports you in growing the same. And not to forget Tribe is great value for money!
