For friends and clients I often have a need to produce simple (but good looking) websites. I've tried all of the big different drag & drop do it yourself website tools (Wordpress, SquareSpace, Wix). I've found Weebly to be the best compromise on ease of use and price. I use Weebly when I need to get a website up and running very quickly, and don't want to spend a long time building a custom site. I can now get a basic website up for a project in a few hours. The main benefit is that the site will look good, modern, will automatically be responsive on mobile devices, and there is no hassle to maintain it. Weebly is especially good when you are building a site and need to hand control over it to someone with minimal technical ability, as it's by the far the easiest for non tech-savvy people to edit. Anyone that can use Facebook has the technical ability to edit text and add photos. A great feature of Weebly is that you can build out a site for free (on a .weebly.com subdomain) show it to all the interested parties and check everyone's happy before paying for a package to add it to a custom domain.
To be clear Weebly is not the most customisable option. Most of the time this is to it's credit - as there is far less to go wrong. But occasionally there are limitations that cause a hinderance to the basic usage of the platform - for example when you want to change a font and you are limited by what you can do within the template. Whilst the pricing is very reasonable when you're using Weebly for business purposes, when you're using it for other projects (blogs, personal websites etc) it is a bit pricey. Especially, when additional (basic) functionality is chargeable on more expensive tiers. It would be good if there were some more pricing plans for power users. Almost every month I have some charges for Weebly coming off my credit card (for one website or another), but with me having dozens of sites it would be nice to have a power user plan that charged me once for all my usage.
I needed to quickly spin up websites without the hassle of employing designers, developers and wasting time.
This platform provides an easy way to have an e-commerce site in a short time without the need for complex configurations, it continues to gain customers even though it is little known. It is characterized by its simplicity and free of additional installation and hosting configurations. It stands out for its convenience and added value when presented in a drinkable way the $50 of the work already done, the rest depends on the product you are going to sell and your ability to produce successful sales. With a somewhat heavy web design and unreliable pricing structure, Weebly is a quick option to sell online. The platform works as a large unit in which the entire design simplifies the entire process of creating the website by simply dragging and dropping the elements of the website, is very easy to manage because it has a user-friendly approach and is recommended for users or employees with little programming experience. It is not as strong as the main competitors Shopify that has a multitude of configuration options and greater speed but fulfills its mission by providing a medium speed in the work of building web pages. The site statistics tool is useful and well designed but those who want more details can easily integrate the Google Analytics utility.
Weebly doesn't convince me because when you enter its main page you can already notice a certain slowness in the loading of the page, this is a feeling that the editing platform will also be slow. And yes, it is slow when you try to perform tasks that demand resources such as dragging and dropping multimedia elements. Let's say that Weebly facilitates the work by making everything easier with just drag and drop but requires more power in that data processing, this is never going to be achieved in a web-based environment, would have to be moved to a web host to work as quickly as desired as with Wordpress.org. SEO capabilities are limited and it is not very easy to program the parameters because the HTML edition is limited. The same happens with templates that with an unmodern design require mostly color changes but Weebly blocks these changes especially in free plans. A challenge for Weebly is to make its content editor more robust so that it is possible to move elements throughout the entire page and not present the errors we have experienced such as not being able to move an image to the top right corner, for example, because the editor does not allow it. The pricing structure is very limited and cheap, to improve performance must charge higher prices and invest in improving the platform because at times has been left far behind its competitors.
Weebly is suitable for users who want a website creator without adornments and fair prices, the interface is intuitive but needs many improvements to catch up with strong and established competitors such as Wordpress.org, Shopify and Magento for example. If they add a full API edition and open the software, the renewal will be total and Weebly would be better known.
If you are looking at building a website and either are just starting off or do not have a lot of time to actually spend making your own please give Weebly a try! This product is great because it offers so many different packages on weather you want the whole golden ticket which would include all the basics and google ad's (GREAT GREAT GREAT for marketing! ) and email marketing and a free domain at a competitive price of $49 per month. Speed and security and pricing are all pros for me when I used Weebly.
One big downside of Weebly when I used it was the content management system. It seems pretty easy to use and you can manage all the pages on your site, but lets say you have 10 plus pages on your site... The system is not very efficient. If you are into advanced marketing tools such as EV SSL, and or custom email tools you may feel this is a little behind the time. It does have basic marketing tools, which are great to use if you are just starting!
I used Weebly for personal use of a small business I was trying to start off in the apparel industry. I was new to the website building world and read great reviews about the ease of helpfulness of Weebly. The prices were great to start off with and they really helped me market my business and get traffic on my website which turned into sales! Win Win for me!!
Weebly is so reasonably priced and user friendly. I like that my finished website looks very much my own and not generic.
While I do feel that Weebly is much more user friendly than other similar services, I wish the dashboard had a better layout. By that I mean one that allowed you to better see the full range of products/apps/services Weebly offers. I feel as though some of them are buried. But that's a minor complaint and not a big concern for me.
I needed a simple website that could grow WITH my business. Because I'm just starting out, it needed to be relatively inexpensive but not hold me back in anyway either simply due to my limited budget. I don't feel as if Weebly has ever held me back. My website looks professional and modern.
I appreciate Squarespace's modern templates, competitive pricing, and user-friendly interface that allows my customers to navigate my website easily. The platform's sleek and professional templates enable me to create a visually appealing online presence that aligns with my brand. Squarespace's attractive pricing options provide good value for the features and services offered.
I am not fond of Squarespace requiring payment before the website is fully functional and accessible. I prefer to experience and evaluate the platform's features and capabilities before committing financially. Having to pay upfront without the opportunity to explore the site's functionality in advance feels limiting and less user-friendly.
I am impressed with Squarespace's ability to give my website a modern and professional appearance. It provides me with diverse templates that strike the perfect balance between modern aesthetics and a polished, professional look. Squarespace offers the convenience of integrating multiple platforms into a single place, allowing me to manage various aspects of my business efficiently. This consolidation of resources and tools enhances my productivity and streamlines my operations, making Squarespace an invaluable solution for my online presence
Weebly offers the easiest interface of all the website builders I have tried. Also, the themes available in Weebly are simply beautiful, and make your website look very professional.
Weebly does not offer a multitude of great features within its basic free version. Some investment is necessary.
I use Weebly for creating websites for clients who need it fast and don't want to spend a lot of money on it. Weebly is very user friendly, which enables me to put together a website within days. Also, Weebly offers a great price-value versions, which helps me to adjust to each client's preference.
I like the templates available for quick and easy set up. The website is very easy to create and manage. They have a great smooth checkout and store front. Another plus is the analysis of sales right on the dashboard, this makes it easy to track sales from month to month. Also the community is very helpful. I like the variety of plans they offer as well.
The price point is ridiculous for someone starting up as a small business. My startup costs were around $320 and I don't even have the best package. Also the apps/widgets available are so limited. I am constantly finding a great service, only to find out it doesn't work on the weebly platform. The apps they do offer are ridiculously priced. The community might be great, but the actual weebly support is horrible. They give you some pretyped answer that isn't even related to your problem. Im am to invested at this point, but I wish i had chosen another platform.
My business website looks professional (after hours and hours of editing) and it is nice to have a smooth checkout. I definitely have a unique look due to my competitors using other platforms (good or bad, im not sure) & since all of my sales are online I am grateful that this platform exists.
The pricing are very predictable. Also, there is no monthly fees for the free option. I think it is very excellent for small businesses like us. All-in-one payment feature is also available. The product to load up is too easy. There are plenty of amazing themes to choose from it. Also, there is unqiue advanced features for paying account. It is very great for linking our online store.
The most dislike thing is there terrible shipping strategy with no adjustable rates. Second thing, account stability issues are common with Square's ecommerce tool. Also, the customer service is not upto the mark. Some very useful fetures are restricted to very high-cost accounts only.
Free unlimited hosting has impact my business. Also the product has make the designs impactful.
