Greenhouse does a great job of taking you seamlessly through the hiring pools and makes it easy to review applications and candidates in the fly. They have robust permissions settings to keep communication private when needed and integrate with several other systems that I used, like Slack.
There is a "review applicants" flow that sounds to take you through a list of candidates quickly. This feels like a different software compared to the rest of the program and it is sometimes challenging finding the right options between this flow and the normal candidate browse flow.
Greenhouse organizes and automates much of the hiring funnel processes in our business. Interview steps are clear for hiring managers and all communication is kept in one place rather than distributed though email inboxes.
It's very intuitive and makes it easy to navigate across views
I wish it was easier to preview different candidates and their reviews without going all the way into their profile
Recruiting and hiring. I've noticed more efficient interviewing and better organized systems.
I like the visibility the tool provides. We're quickly able to see results from interviews occurring with a candidate across the company.
Reporting could be a little more flexible.
The tool is helping us collaborate on hiring individuals. Hiring Managers are better able to identify interview issues, measure skill sets of candidates, and move quicker on hiring decisions.
Greenhouse integrates all communication into one place for all interviewers to see.
Some of the reports are a little limiting, I'd like to see more options of looking at analytics by day.
Greenhouse helps organize all the information about a candidate in one place. It is easy for all parties to use.
Interviewing/hiring can be tricky business, but with Greenhouse I'm not only able to stay ontrack with each and every candidate, but my entire team is as well, ensuring we're all on the same page.
Some of the inner mechanics can be tricky to fully grasp, at first, like most things. But after using it to the full extent it was a breeze to grasp!
Communication for both my team and fairness for the candidate. Days get busy and information gets lost, so this software helps keep us directed.
Greenhouse fulfills the promise of a next-generation ATS; it's logically organized, easy to use, and facilitates every portion of our recruitment process.
As the system gets more powerful I find that there are more nooks and crannies I'm unfamiliar with; I'm likely not taking advantage of the full power of Greenhouse or trusting all of its features to help me with the process of recruitment the way I could if I were more knowledgeable.
Consolidated repository of all current and former applicants across all open roles at the company, ability to track the status of each active applicant through the recruitment and hiring process, and invite other members of the company to participate in activities like Interviews.
Easy to organize interview notes from multiple candidates.
The user interface often requires too many steps
When you have dozens of candidates to interview, it's difficult to keep track of notes and remember important details from each meeting. Greenhouse helps us keep all information and notes on each candidate in one place and makes it easy to compare candidates when it's time to make a hiring decision.
Very easy to use, and very good marking process. As an admin it is super easy to do most things. Reminders are a real plus
Navigation can be a little tricky in certain bits, when trying to add someone to an interview.
Good way to manage recruitment, especially when you are doing video interviews. Good links into many other tools and systems too
It's Intuitive, easy to use and connects easily to google calendar.
The referral system seems to be lacking. It can be hard to differentiate which candidates are employee referrals and which are not. When you run a search for all referrals it doesn't accurately show all of them.
We save time by being able to quickly and easily review resumes, get candidate availability and save numerous email templates.
I like how easy it is to have one interface for all jobs and interviewers and recruiters, etc. I like that I can set up my interview plan and schedule things on my google calendar all through Greenhouse. I also love the new live chat window to speak to customer service and get help on the website.
I dislike some of the integrations. I wish I could schedule or book a room via Greenhouse. One of the most disappointing parts of GH is the video interview option. It is very confusing to have a title of "video interview" sent to the interviewers calendar but then having to set up a completely different event on Google Calendar directly. It confuses the interviewer most of all because they don't know which link to click, and the interviewee can't be added to the GH link because that's where the GH kit is. Definitely the worst part of GH in my opinion.
It makes it easy for all the people involved in the HR process to connect with one another. I also like that I can send reminders to interviewers to send me their feedback on a candidate. It's so easy to have everything in one place.
Greenhouse puts the user first in their design. It's easy on the eyes, and even easier to navigate. Our process is incredibly complex, and they worked with us to make sure that we received everything that we needed, while still keeping design a priority.
When you hit a limitation in Greenhouse, it hits hard. For instance, you can filter by candidate tags (awesome, and expected), but you cannot then also filter by candidates who lack a certain tag. This is a much-needed feature they can't seem to add.
Our process still brings the candidate elsewhere [to another site] for some of the paperwork, but Greenhouse has made everyone on our team, investigators and recruiters alike, stay on the same page. In the past, most candidate tracking had to be done in google docs, an unsecured and possibly unreliable method.
the most integrations by far, easy to use, always updating and great customer service
so far everything has been good, and i have no complaints
Integration with HackerRank is great
Easy to use, good data analytics, customizable
not a lot of updates or added features when needed
scheduling, candidate notifications
It is user friendly, easy to learn, and I haven't run into any issues with it so far.
there is nothing that I dislike about greenhouse
Greenhouse is helping me as a talent associate to understand the needs of my recruiters and help schedule interviews etc.
This was my first time using greenhouse, it was easy to learn and pretty straight forward.
The greenhouse chrome extension adds a candidate to greehouse from third parties such as Indeed or Linkedin but it only adds them as a prospect not a candidate. So I still have to conver them to a candidate. This is annoying when I'm transfering over 50 applications for one role in one day. I makes it double the work. I'd rahter just upload the resume the traditional way.
Greenhouse helps us keep our candidates organized. I love the intergation of Greenhosue and Calandly
I like how you can handle 98% of the tasks you need to INSIDE of Greenhouse. I like how you can leave notes and even email candidates directly from GH with templates. it's great how the interview tabs have the scorecards, resume and even the job description all in one place which makes it easier and more efficient while conducting an interview.
I don't like how you don't receive any notifications when certain tasks are done: a HM thumbs up a candidate in Application/HM Review; a HM submits a scorecard; a HM submits an offer/RTO
It's solving having to use multiple different programs/software to complete the recruiting process and simplifying it into one ATS to use.
Greenhouse's UI/UX is pretty seamless when you are a recruiter user. It has some automation features that are nice to have, it's easy to create custom fields, and integrates with other systems well.
Reporting and dashboarding is painful. Scheduling also needs more innovation.
It's a standard ATS, folks can apply to roles with ease. Hiring teams can use it to collaborate with recruiters as well.
Greenhouse has been amazing at walking us through the process on how to utilize and build out their onboarding feature for our company. They are very patient and my experience with them has been very smooth.
There are some additional features I would like to see especially since our onboarding is very specific. Perhaps making more of the features and build out more customizable would be helpful.
Onboarding automation
It is relatively easy to use. We onboard a lot of new recruiters and even those without prior experience in Greenhouse are able to pick it up easily
The native reporting functionality can be limited. Only certain fields can be pulled into reports so I sometimes find myself downloading multiple reports into excel and combining them
We have to manage a lot of applicants across a lot of different roles. It would be impossible to do without Greenhouse
What I enjoy most about Greenhouse is the UI. I feel as though it is fairly easy to find what I am looking for.
I dislike that there is sometimes a lact of functionality that I think should be in place with a product of this maturity. We've submitted multiple requests to the product team for improvement but nothing has been done.
Greenhouse allows me to easily report on various items which is extremely beneficial.
