Greenhouse is a robust and user friendly recruiting tool. It is the best I've seen for recruiters. It has great functions for tracking candidates and prospects, and makes the recruiting lifecycle as seamless as possible. The activity tracking and custom options help us design processes that support where our business is in that moment. The support resources and chat function are also great whenever the team has questions or concerns. It saves a lot of time to be able to point people there instead of having to answer everything myself.
The reporting is good, but I wish it was more user friendly and customizable. I also wish the user roles were more customizable.
Greenhouse provides a great way to keep recruiters and sourcers on track and allows management and administrators to easily get to the root of a problem or pain-point through activity tracking.
The best piece that I like about Greenhouse is that every stakeholder in the company - from a recruiting coordinator to a hiring manager to an exec, gets to see the appropriate view for their respective duties.
It sometimes feels clunky to use, but otherwise nothing much to dislike.
Sourcing and Hiring.
Simple implementation, only takes a few weeks. In addition, overall cost is much lower than competitors. The dashboards for reporting are also easy to run and understand.
Sometimes the main interferace is a little confusing on navigating between pages from the admin side.
Automated ATS and expedited/consistent onboarding experience. The onboarding platform provides an amazing experience for new hires and ensures all are tasks are organized. Utilizing the system is so much better than creating manual checklists in Excel.

It's very complete but super easy to use. They are always raising the bar feature-wise and the interface is incredibly intuitive, so I'm always able to get ramped up quickly when they release something new. The bulk actions have saved hours of my time! Our team also really appreciates how simple it is to submit referrals. Greenhouse definitely makes it so much easier to promote internal communication with the hiring team: the weekly updates are sent to Hiring Managers, and the integration with Slack makes it nearly impossible to miss a notification. The pending scorecard notifications helped us drop our time to hire massively because no one ever forgets to submit a scorecard on time. The customer support team and our Account Manager are super helpful and always available.
The careers page isn't super customizable or pretty, that's my only nitpick.
Greenhouse helps us manage the whole candidate journey in a unified place. It helps us with comunicating with both candidates and the hiring team. It provides great help when it comes to maintaining an interesting candidate and prospect pool for the present and the future.
There's no doubt Greenhouse is one of the best ATS' out there. It has hundreds of native integrations available and what I like most is that it constantly seeks to improve. Their customer service is also top-notch with super-fast responses and helpful customer support folks. My CSM is also amazing - we continuously look for ways to improve and she diligently follows up with resources every time.
My one piece of advice for ways to improve is reporting. While progress has been made and there are now dashboards, and essential reports, I still feel like I am lacking basic reporting and there doesn't seem to be a way for me to track what I need even with custom reports
ATS does what it needs to. Also need to start using the CRM as that is a great feature.
I have used multiple applicant systems in my region( India) but Greenhouse particulary was easy to adopt within my talent partner team. The workflow is easy to understand and the UI view of pipelines keep the talent partners aware of their progress without making a lot of clicks.
I love the tool and just expect a little more customization to the geography. India being a big market, I would wish nuances of the geography built in the tool to be more inclusive as a global product.
Ease of reporting I donot need to prepare dashboards for executives. The information is readily available at all times.
Implementation was very quick and easy, I love how detailed and organized Greenhouse is when it comes to all of their training, whether you sign up for the pre-recorded sessions or sit in with a live trainer. It's easy to navigate through the site and has streamlined our recruiting process and made it more efficient.
I wish there were better customization options when it comes to integrating our HRIS with Greenhouse. You would think a lot of the data could be pulled from the candidate profile, but we had to put a lot of fields on our offer letter and there were fields that Greenhouse is unable to pull into our HRIS.

You are able to review applicants, schedule interviews, evaluate candidates, and generate offer letters all through the system in an easy manner.
Sometimes when generating offer letters, the offers do not generate properly and will simply have a blank document.
We are able to have a Talent Community which lists passive candidates, so we can go back at a later time and reach out to see if they would be interested in a role we have open.
I use GH very frequently for scheduling interviews and storing candidates data. It's automation helps me to save the time and perform my task in a much easier way. All the information for our employees/candidates are in one place which is helpful. It's integration with other platforms is best and customer support is always on the top. Implementing any changes in GH is also easy.
Greenhouse is working perfectly for me however sometimes the loading time is bit slow.
GH faciliates to have an entire candidate information from bank details to documentation at a single place. It's helps us a lot for auditing documents. It's seamless interviewing process and scorecards helps supports the entire TA team to reach their goal efffectively.
The interface is sleek and features are intuitive. I use Greenhouse everyday in Recruiting, so an easy to use ATS is important. The integration features work well.
The downsides of using greenhouse is having to manually select "resend reminder" instead of automatically sending for a scorecard

Greenhouse is very versatile. If you conduct high volume recruitment, you can utilize templates and make copies of previous requisitions to streamline what could be a very administrative process. At the same time, Greenhouse has awesome features for creating a personalized candidate experience, and I've had candidates share that they love the DEIB features (voice pronunciation recording, pronouns, and more!) Greenhouse continues to implement new features that streamline existing manual processes I followed, I really like the new 24 hour interview reminder!
The least helpful feature with Greenhouse is the bulk select feature. There are specific tokens that aren't recognized when you bulk email candidates and it does not integrate well with our current templates. Not allowing {{JOB_NAME}} to pull in a bulk email is sometimes frustrating to manually adjust. I hope to see this improved!
Reporting for recruitment, administrative scheduling tasks are amazing when we have high volume recruitment. I love the self schedule tool and I set up many stage transitions.
The seamless integration with onboarding in the system. Creates a fantastic new hire experience. Easy to build and view reports.
Lacking integration with HRIS system (Paylocity) in that not all fields will pull over to the system.

Greenhouse has a comprehensive implementation tracker for all new clients to effectively and efficiently configure the tool over the course of six weeks. As an implementation team of one, I was able to launch the tool internally within a matter of three weeks by focusing on the essentials, per the advice of the implementation consultant, who was so knowledgeable about the tool that I would've believed he founded the software. The variety of materials available on-demand is what enabled a swift, independent implementation. There were even available training materials that I used to launch the software to internal stakeholders before I built SOPs, so that our team could start using the tool immediately after importing all of our candidates and jobs from Workday. The settings are so customizable that I could spend another six weeks thinking of ways to optimize department-specific communications, permission levels, approvals, metrics, requisition templates, and more. The options are virtually endless.
A high-level stakeholder wanted the ability to grant agency users more access to metrics regarding their applicants in order to reduce back and forth communication. Also, the way the Calendly integration is currently setup, links to interview kits are not provided in the calendar invite, since the candidate is an event guest. Instead, interviewers must manualy log into Greenhouse first before accessing the interview kit for upcoming interviews. The candidate filters are pretty extensive but fall short when it comes to sorting. There's no ability to sort filtered candidates by any field or result. As a workaround, I filter the candidates and use CTRL+F to find the results I'm looking for (like scorecard results).
It's bringing all of talent acquisition data into a single source of truth; all data regarding hiring, job requests, candidate updates, and more can all be found on a single platform so that roles aren't getting left behind and candidates left out in the cold with no recent communication. The boolean search has helped recruiters and hiring managers identify the cream of the crop, prioritizing the best candidates, and ultimately strengthening our company with great talent.

Greenhouse was able to easily help structure our hiring process into something much more efficient, consistent, and usable across all teams. We like it so much that we are now using it for our on-boarding processes as well. The fact that the interview to on-boarding process can be all done seamlessly in one application is amazing.
